Bio and Links
My name is Valarie Lane and I have been doing genealogy for about 30 years. I am involved in the local Historical Society and have been wanting to do a "give back" project. My project was to photograph our local cemetery. Originally I was going to put it into book form but decided it would be more useful to more people if I put my findings up on the "Find a grave" website, So here I am.

The photos I have put up are cropped quite close in order to go by the websites rules. If you are wanting a better photo, please let me know and I will see what I can do. I also want to give credit to the Douglas County Genealogical Society. Their Publication on the Yoncalla Cemetery made it much easier to "read" the cemetery and gravestones.

Crites Photo Permission
Hello, I am a Relative of Robert Jessie Crites (#37442945) and I was wondering if I may have permission to use his headstone photo on my private family tree?
Thank you very much!

Johnston family
Hi Val, may I use your photos for my ancestry.com family? I went to the cemetery in JUne and could not find Calvin and Ethel, but found their son. I would give you credit. By the way where are Calvin and Ethel??

Thank you for considering.

Dear Valarie,
Thank you so much for your kindness. She was part of my family who went out to Oregon from New York with her siblings and widowed mother and grew up and had families. This was my western cousins and I got to meet a couple of them when I was very young. Quite a history in our family and I will add what I can to the site. Many thanks for all your hard work.
