his father
name was spelled wrong with skaggs in Virginia, the number is 113625115... there is a lot of old military history here as well, his father and grandfather is linked back to old Ireland in the 1600's and 1500's

much more old news
the scaggs mentioned in this is a direct decendant of mine via my mother rose lambert, her mother was estella scaggs (buried in Indianapolis), my mother used to collect all of the old records of the entire family (now in possession of my sister michelle stokes in camby Indiana). the story goes that once this man's father and mother were dying in old Virginia, the kinfolk packed up their belongings into wagons and headed through the Cumberland gap to an area near horse cave Kentucky near scaggs trace and settled their parcels of land, fought off the Indians and many of the men became long hunters. their father, being a large tract of land owner was commissioned as a colonel in revolutionary war reporting to general nathial greene, the colonel was wounded at the battle at kings mountain national park, one of the turning points in that war. he and his wife were sent over as children to get a proper education in servitude.

I am trying to sort this out and you seem to be related. I have Felix as born in Poland. His immigration ship passenger info lists his father as Antoni. I am wondering if I have another Felix confused with this Felix. All the info regarding wife and children is correct. Where did you get the parents and siblings?
I truly hope you can help me.

RE: Bryant
I think I did all I can for them, it was fun following the family line.

RE: Bryant
Shirley I have looked and looked to find the one who was killed in the war, I'm wondering if maybe they never knew for quite some time that he WAS killed. If memory is right it was n Nov 1, 1918 & I've searched into 1919 for quite away with no results. You would think that would be big news of the lose, the mother was a "Gold Star Mother". MIA for some until much later. I don't know anything about the family, only what was in the obits.

You had me worried Shirley, when you weren't adding the obits I sent, I thought "well here's more I shouldn't have transferred, they're not going to add a thing to the memorials." So was happy to hear from you, and see you have added them now. I never found any obit for the others yet, but will see if I can before sending them on. It's easier that way. I'm always happy when family can add things, more meaningful, they know who they were. Luella
