|Ken B||RE: Neu Family at Greenfield|
The two memorials you mentioned (111926653 & 111926588) are for two different people (two different markers), as you can see by looking at the dates of birth and death on the markers, so I will not be deleting either of those.

Fire Island isn't really close to Flanders, so it still doesn't make sense. As far as purchasing cemetery plots in this cemetery, that would not have happened during that time period. There is no cemetery association and all the names of those buried there are listed on Find A Grave. This was a family burial ground on their own private property. A copy of census done by the DAR exists and corresponds with the stone that is there. This was never a cemetery owned by an association.
He remembers going to see them buried there? I am guessing he would have attended his parents funerals, he would have been in his 40s then from what the details you have given me.

Sorry but there are absolutely no new graves in that cemetery. There are plenty of Hubbards around, but they aren't buried there. The property is now on a County Park and has been for decades.
I am unclear why they would choose to get buried in a defunct cemetery in eastern LI when they lived in East Rockaway.
Your cousin remembers the funeral there?

No, they would not have been buried there. To my knowledge there hasn't been a burial there in over a century. Where were they from?

Sorry, I guess Robert H Davison is buried in Rockville, not Greenfield. But do you know if his wife Minerva is buried with him? Does she have ant gravestone in that plot?

Do you know where the wife of Robert H Davison #31569265, in Greenfield Cemetery, named Minerva Cornwell Davison, is buried? Does she share a monument with him?
