Hi Gary- Thanks so much for transferring the memorials. I really appreciate it. I will definitely keep the information about you organizing the effort to get a headstone for Jacob. That was a very kind thing for you to do. Best wishes for health and happiness in 2014! Best, Matt

You are very welcome. Mazie's father, John Cox Hinton, is my 2nd g-grandfather. I have a Hinton tree on Ancestry.com. Let me know if you would like access to the tree. The research is part mine, part from G W Hinton's family history and the research of Phyllis Hinton Queen.

Please add links to Mazie's parents. Father is John C Hinton #34498788 and her mother is Mahala Wilson Hinton Barnes #43186534.

I see you have a picture of the old post office in Franklinton and also known as the David Deardurff home (as the sign in front of the house says). That settles that discussion about the spelling of David's last name.
Who do I get in touch with to see abou getting a veterans monument put up for Jospeh Grate?
Again thanks for all the work you do.
I was reading with interest the comments on the photos of Scioto Cemetery and was disgusted to read about the vandalism by three teens. I would be interested in more. Could you please email me privately? dianne_m43701 (at) yahoo.com. Thanks for the consideration.

|RipperK||After reading a Book.|
I found this Cemetary after reading about it in a book written by a Marine who served in the Gulf War.
He was a kid who grew up in Franklinton and visited the cemetary often and taken in by the old soldiers buried there and their lost stories.
He grew up, was sent off to war, and had a greater understanding of the trial and sacrifices of those solders and came home from the war to visit the cemetary and pay his respect. Great story.

Thank you for the reply and THANK YOU for caring about the Cemetery's need for attention. You truly are a very special person!
I first received the info that Francis MOORHEAD may be in the Salt Creek United Presbyterian Cemetery at lot #192. No luck finding him their under either last name spelling.
I did them locate him (MOOREHEAD) at your site. You may find him at #192. Just a thought ?
Thank you and keep up the great work.
