Hi, My name is April Michelle. My husband, Steve, and I like to visit cemeteries and other memorials. We love to photograph not only the grave markers and stones but the beautiful nature around those cemeteries. We have just gotten started and have only visited around 18-20 cemeteries but I think this site helps with genealogy. Thanks to all the other members who take the time to record and download pictures for this site. It does mean alot to families who are so far away from their loved ones.
We have two children, Battle is 8 and Katie is 5. My husband is researching his family which is Labbee, Lancaster, Drinen, Hulsey. I just got started a few years ago on my Genealogy project and I am only doing my maternal side of the family which is mostly out of Lamar County, Alabama and Monroe County, Mississippi. They are Taylor, Smith, Barnes, Cantrell, Webb, Weeks and Minor. I grew up in Picayune Mississippi. We recently moved to Glen, Mississippi so this Mississippi girl is home again. | |

FLOYD M McCRAW is the son of WILLIAM PERVY McCRAW and SARA ELIZABETH "BELLE" THOMAS, who was the daughter of JAMES THOMAS and MARY ELLEN TRAYLOR, and a sister to my ancestor JAMES THOMAS JR and GRACE AGNES SMITH.

I don't mind and I have now added you as a friend. BTW, my ggrandmother was a Cantrell from Tennessee but as it turns out, the Cantrells in Lamar County are related way way down the line (9 generations or so). My husband is from Lamar County...I'm not. I will let you know when I get by the cemetery and find out Floyd's dates. I desend from John Tapley Thomas who donated the land for Emmaus Church and is buried there through his son George Key Thomas, George Franklin Thomas, William Murray Thomas, and my father James Sandlin Thomas. I have direct lines through the Rector, Barnes, Hankins, Morrison, and others all in the Lamar County area. I have alot of kin in almost every cemetery. My Thomas' aare mostly at Fellowship.

Leah Hawkins who married Isaac Edmond "Ike" Taylor, both buried at Taylor Springs. Her parents were Napoleon Bonaparte Hawkins born Aug 1853 Fayette, AL died 03 Sept 1949 & Rachael Elizabeth Gann born 06 Feb 1876 Hamilton, AL died 1973.
