I have been interested in genealogy for several years and have located a lot of ancestors graves since I've been a member of find a grave.
This is a wonderful hobby and I want to thank everyone who has taken the time to walk the cemetaries and log information for others to use.
The surnames I am researching are Gragg Hoke Honnoll Smith.

Martha Clark Lineage
Hi Frances. About Martha Clark..who was the wife of John Cooper. I believe her parents were Jeremiah and Mary Polk Clark. I believe they were married on Jan 31, 1818 in Madison County, Alabama."

Jeremiah was born in GA, in 1795. Mary Polk Clark (his wife), was the daughter of Thomas Polk, and I'm not sure of her mother's name. However, in the 1860 Census, Mary Clark was living in Lowndes County, MS. She is listed as the widow of Jeremiah Clark, you must've passed away before 1860. They also had a son Eli Clark, who married Hester Ann Mitchell on Dec. 22, 1859 in Itawamba County, MS.

11280. Census, 1850, Itawamba Co., MS.

HouseHold of Jeremiah Clark, age shown is 55, born in GA.

11281. Early Alabama Marriages, pg. 179, "Polk, Mary" married "Clark, Jeremiah" on "Jan 31,
1818 Madison."

Those names John and Martha Cooper sound familiar, they lived in Mississipi during and after the civil war. I had some info on another computer that crashed..I'm not able to check my data or docs that I had saved..til I get that computer fixed :(

Hello, yes I believe my Grandfather was Lon Cooper who married Margaret Holder. They had my mother Lillie Cooper Walters, and two other daughters that I'm aware of, Pearl Cooper Reynolds, and Ollie Cooper (if that is the correct spelling). I'm not sure if there were any sons...my search has been halted somewhat the last few years..
