Bio and Links
Bio Photo For the last 14 years I've actively been involved in doing ancestry research on all sides of my family including my husband's ancestors and children's spouses. I currently have nearly 15,000 people in my family tree. Many are not directly related, but we all connect in some way, and I'm amazed at the tangled web we weave. I particularly enjoy the historical aspects of my research. Thanks to all the wonderful volunteers on www.findagrave.com, I've been able to view headstones of several family members from long ago and faraway that I'd never get the chance to see otherwise. Bless you all!

I posted photos for the above mentioned person and put that he is buried in St Margarets cemetery but he is actually in Oakwood East. My apologies.

James Rabb Mobley
Carol,

Thanks for posting the headstone photo!

I assume that I am Mobley cousins with either you or your husband.

My line is through my maternal grandmother Rachel Elizabeth Burks Sizemore. From her my line is:

Samuel Walter Burks m. Minnie Stephens
William Henry Burks m. Rachel Elizabeth Cates
Nancy E Mobley m. G Abner Burks
John Mobley m. Nancy Gilbert
William B Mobley m. Drucilla Meador
John Mobley m. Mary Beam
Edward Mobley m. Susannah Devall

I researched the ancestry of my former mother-in-law about 15 years ago and was surprised to find a Mobley line in her tree as well. Her line from her paternal grandfather is:

Alfred P Anderson Jr m. Susanna Ridgeway
Alfred Pinkney Anderson m. Sarah Oglesby
James Anderson m. Elizabeth Mobley
Isaac Mobley m. Frances Brown
John Mobley m. Mary Beam
Edward Mobley m. Susannah Devall

Best regards,
Debbie

Carole,

It is my pleasure. Locating and photographing these memorials is a pleasant pastime for me. I'm glad I could help you out. Also, use my photo as you please, I am not sensitive to copyright issues. Ken

RE: Carmela Zampino Photo Request
(Sorry - thought I replied but I didn't!) Gerda family lived on McCracken 1940s-1970s, Jim and Jerry went to GHHS. Family names of Rahe, Helman, and cousins Abram, Brantsch, Landwehr, Borges... well, one way or another cousins or related to most of the people buried at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery!

RE: Carmela Zampino Photo Request
Hello Carole: Sure - wish I'd been able to help more. Yes, both parents and most of my father's relatives grew up in Garfield Heights. I've entered almost all of the St. John's Cemetery on Find-a-Grave, and we were just out to the Garfield Heights Historical Society a couple weeks ago to dig around in what fun stuff they have. Rahe, Helman, Gerda, and lots of allied names. Take care! *J

RE: Re: Torsti & Mary Peltola
No, I'm not related--I just like to take photographs of other graves while I'm looking for family. The Field of Honor section is small, and I was able to do it in less than half an hour. Looking for my relatives took more than that (and I know that cemetery well!), even with maps and locations. I don't get to Woodmere that often anymore, so I try to make the most out of my visits there.
