My name is Kim. I lost my brother in 2003 and thought I would add him here in case any of his friends that did not attend the graveside services wanted to know where he was buried. Thanks to all who have left messages on his page. I've also added various family and friends memorial pages over the years. Some date back to over 100 years ago. For those who have any information on these beloved ancestors, I welcome any facts so I can research my family tree.|

Kim, I have deleted my memorial for David.
|Tonya Carney Archey||Nicholas Carney research|
Yes, that research was most likely from Kymm Johnson. She and I did a lot of the early research, but the folklore story came from John Carney's grandchildren. I relayed that to Kymm.
|Tonya Carney Archey||RE: Nicholas Carney|
No. I traced our line back to Nicholas and through Nicholas' pension file I learned who his children were, but I can't get passed Nicholas and Emeline. She was orphaned at 12, married Nicholas when she was 13, and they left Virginia shortly after that. One of our cousins in Arizona relayed a story to me. She said her grandmother was John Carney's wife, a son of Nicholas. She lived to be very old and she told her grandchildren that Nicholas Carney was actually born in Ireland and he left under mysterious circumstances. Census records indicate that he was born in VA, but this family folklore could have some merit, or not. I can't find any evidence that he was born in VA, or Ireland. I have been working on this family since 1999 and was the original researcher who discovered Nicholas. I've been stuck with him for many years. I have John Carney's scrapbook and Summers Van Buren's bible records. I live 2 hours from Jamestown, but I need to go to Roanoke VA to find out more, if there is anything there. I've called the libraries and Archives there, but no luck. Be careful what you get off of Ancestry, a lot of it is not verified. It's too easy for folks to grab the wrong names, especially with our Carney's.

I have transferred Regina's memorial to you for your management. I attended high school with Arielle, but I haven't seen her in years. From being Regina's Best Friend, and a God Mother to the youngest children I am sure you can add a lot more to her memorial.
You are very welcome for the virtual flower that I left in honor of your Son, Homer.
Please accept my dearest condolences for the loss of Homer, and Regina. I know it never gets any easier after we lose out family and friends, but they will always be with us in our hearts.
