I was born in Austin, Texas and lived most of my life in Austin and San Antonio and now live near Anchorage, Alaska. There are 3 major cemeteries in the area and I will gladly fulfill any photo requests at Fort Richardson, Anchorage, and Angelus Cemeteries if the weather permits, since there is snow on the ground 6 months out of the year here.|
My ancestral roots are mainly out of Bell and Palo Pinto Co., Texas and the cemeteries there make up most of the final resting spots for grandparents and beyond.
One of my hobbies is taking and collecting photos of my ancestors final resting spots, no matter how modest the headstone is, or even a lack of one.
As a final word, please use the photos I have provided as you wish. I take them because I love doing it for people and that's what they're here for! Copyright means nothing to me!

I will check around/do some sleuthing and see what I can uncover. Maybe we can solve the mystery. Possibly a family membe kept the remains and burial never happened?

|James Faulkenberry||Edwin Roberson in Abilene|
You said he might be buried near his grandparents, but neglected to say who his grandparents are. I did not find him near other Robersons at Elmwood cemetery, but I've I've still got a few places to check.

I'm sure that there must be a caretaker of some sort, but I really have no idea how to contact them. We get the requests and look up the cemetery on a map and just go there and look for the headstones with the names we need. Try the internet for officals of Fisher County, Texas, they might be able to help or the Rotan Court House may be able to help. There should be contact numbers available on line for them.

|May Ashby Royer||RE: George W. and Kate Reasoner|
The photo was sent to me by their grandson Charles Stone the son of Molissie Reasoner and Alfred Stone. I have an email address for his wife if you would like to have it. Let me know and I will email it to you.

No, they would have disappeared into the mud soon after placement if they were. They are concrete cylinders about 6-8" in diameter, sunk into the ground, the cheapest marker they had back in those days. There are hundreds of them there, & as many unmarked or "unknown" graves. The area seemed to be a depressed one even before the Great Depression hit, which made things even worse. People have been very rough on the stones there, tire tracks, shattered ones, & some that look like a scraper was used on them. My husband & I took pictures of them all when I did a transcription for our genealogy room in the county library.
|Pat Reece||RE: Hammond Cemetery|
You are very welcome, cousin. Mary Carter Hammond is my ancestor, too, through her son John Elmore. He was my 2nd great-grandfather.
|Mary Casey||RE: Ridley gravesites|
Actually there are more Ridleys in the cemetery without memorials but they are spread out. I am trying to stay in order so I don't pass anyone up. Once I get the photo requests completed I will setup memorials. Just keep checking and then any you want transferred just let me know.
