I have been interested in genealogy since and extra credit project for high school biology. I would gather info haphazardly through the years since then....until the internet. What a great way to connect. I found this website by accident and think it is the greatest. I love cemeteries and whenever I visit one I take pictures of as many headstones as possible...until my camera battery dies or my husband runs out of patience. I just read your bio and we have something in common. I got a laugh out of you saying that you take pictures "until you run out of batteries, or your husband's patience" because I also take my husband with me. I actually got another camera and he started helping!! That was a shock to me, but it gave him something to do and I got to stay longer. You never know, maybe your husband might enjoy helping? I just found it funny because of the similarities. And thanks again for the information on Alice Beal. Hi Denise,
I had hoped to fulfill your photo request for Nellie and Dennis Fay, but discovered the Columbus Diocese has no record of them at the Catholic cemeteries in this area.
I was able to find a Nellie (1890-1956) and Charles Augustine (1888-1941) Fay at Mt. Calvary, though. Are these relatives of yours? Would you like photographs?
It is possible Nellie and Dennis Fay are also interred at Mt. Calvary because the Diocese has quite a few missing and jumbled records; unfortunately, the only way to locate them would be just to happen upon their marker(s). If you believe they're here, I'll keep looking.
