Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born to Willard and Irene Sitts on June 29, 1957 in Caldwell, ID. I live in Texas so finding my family history is a bit of a challenge just using the internet but I have found quite a bit.

My interest is in the Sitts, Schimmels, Mattingly and Hays (Hayes) families. I have alot of history on the Mattingly's from Barry County, MO and surrounding area.

My grandfather Sitts was from Champaign, IL and recently I have found alot on his background. He married my grandmother Iva Edith Mattingly from MO. My mom was from the Schimmels family in Naponee, NE and her mom's maiden name was Hays or Hayes, I found things with both spellings. I believe some of the Hays are from or moved to KS.

RE: Mattingly
I think it's wonderful that you're making corrections and additions. One of the major reasons memorials belong with immediate family. I'll try to keep watch so I can correct my files.

RE: Jessie Madison Mattingly
Somtimes I just want to kick myself. I can't remember who gave me the burial information on this child. I have gone through periods where I failed to maintain references. (way too often) If you have anything you'd like to add on him let me know and I'll transfer the memorial.

RE: Iva Mattingly
YES! That's the Iva I found. Didn't find Marion in 1910 but I think I've found him in 1920. Not sure yet but working on it. I have a tough time with Missouri in many cases and wish there was as much information as there is with Kentucky. It's a bit difficult living in Virginia and relying so much on what you can find on the Internet. We do have an interesting family. Being retired I have a lot of free time and if I do nothing else than genealogy for the rest of the time I have remaining on earth it will be time well spent.

Thank you for sharing.

RE: Charles Raymond Mattingly
You're welcome. I think I may have found Iva on the 1910 census as a 3 year old but I'm not sure.

RE: Charles Raymond Mattingly
Thanks for the information. I'm not sure about Pauline but will check her out.

RE: Charles Raymond Mattingly
I'd be happy to transfer the memorials of Charles and his parents but please share with me your genealogy. I don't care so much about living persons but the only child I have for Charles and Pearl is Pauline but no marriage information for her. I also haven't found death information on Pearl but suspect she died before Charles.
