I love history and would love to learn more about my ancestors. My family came from Scotland in 1747 to New Jersey, traveled through Kentucky, Tennessee, Missouri on to McLennan and Motely County, Texas. The Jameson sisters married into the Farnsworth family, Jameson's and Day's married brothers, sisters and cousins until we have numerous double cousins.

I would love to travel to the McMinn Tennessee area to locate my great great grandfathers grave. I could spend days in the cemeteries and I love to take the pictures! Someday when I retire, I hope to do that until I grow tired of it! NOT!

Would you mind if I used a picture of her gravestone on my family tree on WikiTree?

Thank you

Thank you for this. John ("Jack" as he went by) was my great-grandfather. You're a gem to help!

You added a photo to Laura Elliott Petty's memorial (8087008). Could you please add the same photo to her husband John Hubbard Petty's memorial (8087004). There is a photo request for a photo and the weather is really nasty and icy in Hill county right now.

I noticed that you took a photo in the Mathias Cemetery. Is it the same cemetery as Mathis Cemetery. I have been to the Mathis but I have no knowledge of the Mathias. Thanks.

I am trying to find out if there is any proof of John Day, 1824 being Sarah and Matilda Day's father.

Feel free to email me at

THANK YOU...! I try to make and maintain each memorial as if they were a member of my family. I'm not in it for the numbers.
Find A Grave is such a wonderful place to locate family. It has helped me so much in my quest to find many members of my family and ancestors.
Have a blessed weekend...!

Sorry, this does not seem to be my day. After further search, I did find memorial to Almer McMurray.

Ann, after reading another of your correspondence, I see the problem, however, I cannot find the memorial you mentioned or the name Alver C McMurray by Cyndi Wiseman. While Cyndi might be a relative....she has not spelled his name correctly. A real mystery. I think I will send another request and mention the memorial number.

Rec'd the following message from Find A Grave
"Went to the cemetery today, without checking the actual Find A Grave Memorial. This picture request has already been fullfilled."

However, I checked and there is no photo of Almer's marker. Could you explain further?
