Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am the granddaughter of James Powell Mitchell and Naomi Carter Mitchell (mother's side) and Irving Anderson Hair and Virginia Etheridge (father's side). I am researching several family lines: Argo, Burgess, Carter, Dover, Etheridge, Hair, Jackson, Mitchell, Whitley, and several others branching off of these families. The Argo and Burgess relatives are my children's paternal lines.

RE: Donald Otho Lomineck
His father, Otho, is my mother's brother.
Donald was called Donnie and was one of my favorite cousins. I don't know if you are old enough to have known him. He died in Korea after having an appendectomy. Very sad.

RE: Anna D Mitchell
Hi Sandra,
I did a survey of the cemetery back in 2006 to add to the USGENWeb Project and then I found this site. I believe in sharing information so I posted the cemetery online for those who may not live close to travel. The Jakin Cemetery was the first and I enjoyed it so much, I had planned to do more the following year, but an unexpected pregnancy and the birth of my son has put a hault to surveying any more cemeteries - at least for the moment. I have researched some on the Mitchell line for my cousin. (It's her mother's side - not related to me.) Her Mitchell line is strange, her grandfather changed is surname from Mitchell to Smith due to a divorce and unstable ex-wife. They were located in the Dooly, Worth county areas.

Mr. Argo
The memorial has been transferred, and it was wonderful to meet you. When I find my Burgess notebook that my aunts helped me compile (from our relatives in GA), I will let you know of my findings!

Hair surname
That is a very unique name. You are the only other person other than my uncle Michael Scott's ex-wife, whom I've known with the name Hair. She is Shirley Spry Hair, from Columbia, SC. Wow!
