I am a mother of 2 and grandmother of 6. I am raising my two oldest grandchildren. I am a hired genealogy and documents researcher in Lamar County, Texas and surrounding counties. But, I love to volunteer a little here and there. This is why I like to help others so if there is a tombstone pic in a cemetery in my area, that you would like to have...I am only an email away. I was also a volunteer at www.RAOGK.com, before they shut the site down. I am currently also the Lamar Co. Genealogical Society Library librarian and the volunteer worker on Thursday mornings...and any other time one of the volunteers can not make it. Please visit the Lamar County Genealogy site online. It is a great site and has lots of good information on area ancestors and history. |
Am researching my birth mother's family: Ward, Lisenbee, Wiggins, Kays, Summerall, Stennett, Noel.
My birth father's family: Smith, Caviness, not sure yet the rest. Just found out about a year ago who he was.
Adopted father's family: Cornett, McGuire, Warren, Fuller from Red River Co.,Texas, before that Bienville Parish, Louisiana.
Adopted mother's family: Moore, Wood, Jordan from Falls Co., Texas
My father-in-law's family: Usry, Lloyd, Watts from Hugo, Choctaw Co., Oklahoma and Bennington, Bryan Co., Oklahoma, and Indian Territory, Oklahoma.
My mother-in-law's family: Bryan, Ballard, Anderson, from Lamar Co., Texas,
Would be happy to show you how to start researching your family tree.
Good luck and happy hunting!

Thank you so much for adding the tombstone pictures. I did not get an email indicating they were posted.
It really helps to get confirming or additional information.
It is because of people like you, who go out of your way to assist us, that we are able to link to our family members.

I'm sorry, but I have no information on these boys. Barbara

It's like she disappeared and only reappeared to document her children's births! I can't find any information, only what you have. I've combed through Red River County marriage books and found nothing. I even went through Lawrence and Sue Dale's excellent book: "Cemetery Records Red River County, Texas". Nothing. I'm wondering if she wandered across the river to McCurtain County, Oklahoma.
I wish I could give you any kind of news, SORRY!!

You are very welcome. About the linking....I know you can link more than one spouse, but like you say, that can get a little dicey with family members. Their call I would say. Take care....

Please accept my sincere apologies for just now "Thanking You" for going out to Meadowbrook and acquiring the above two pictures for me and placing them on their Find A Grave memorials. I believe when you did this that I was out of town on business and then kept my grandchildren for two fun weeks before they headed back to school. I was cleaning out my emails tonight and ran across these photo requests and realized that I never did let you know how much it meant to me that you took time out of your day to go do this for me. I really appreciate it. I am printing off memorials to go with a book that I am making for our family genealogy and it's always so nice to have pics of headstones on memorials. Again, sorry for the delay. Thanks again.
