I am the daughter of May Moore and Henry Studstill. I was married to John Hill West.At his death I moved to Indian Shores, Florida. My paternal grandparents are
William Hustis Studstill and Annie Elizabeth Clements Studstill; my maternal grandparents Archibald Pendleton Moore and Alice Jane Yelverton Moore. My siblins are Henry Studstill, Jr.; Jack Moore Studstill; and Alice Clements Studstill White.
I was born in Andalusia, Alabama. I served as the Director of the Andalusia Public Library for a number of years. The Genealogy Department of the Library is recognized for its collection of Genealogy records and Family Histories for ancestor research.A Studstill family genealogy record can be found in the Genealogy Department in books compiled by Jason Miller The Shaping Of A Studstill Vol 1 and also in the second edition

I see that you are the granddaughter of William Hustis Studstill. I am a descendant of Hustus Studstill, the Revolutionary soldier. I am trying to add Hustus Studstill as a DAR supplemental ancestor, but I am have been unable to prove that Elizabeth who married Frederick Lanier is his daughter. The DAR requires legal proof which means named in a will, received property from he distribution of the estate, listed in a family Bible as the daughter, and there may be other ways. I have been unable to find any of this proof. I have Hustus Studstill's will but he makes no mention of any of his children. I wonder if you might suggest a way to find this proof or if you may have the proof. Any help you could give me would be appreciated.
