I have been interested in genealogy for over 30 years. My family research has been in IL and IN.|
Names in my family are GRAVES, JOHNSON, PHILLIPS,
BOND, HINDS, CHAMBERLAIN, THOMAS, PRICE, WATKINS, KELLY. I am a mixture of Swedish and Irish.
I have added three cemeteries with pictures (and obituaries, when possible) for the little town of Varna, Marshall Co, IL, where I lived until I married. It is mainly Swedish and German. This info is here on FindaGrave.
I appreciate all of the help I have received from fellow FindaGrave contributors and hope that I can do the same.
I am not interested in how many names I add, but am more concerned with exact and complete detailed information.
The picture is "Stella" my dog.
PLEASE ASK PERMISSION BEFORE POSTING MY INFORMATION AND PHOTOS ON ANOTHER WEBSITE.
I HAVE WORKED HARD ON MY FAMILY AND DO NOT APPRECIATE SOMEONE ELSE POSTING MY PHOTOS AND INFORMATION, ESPECIALLY ON ANCESTRY.COM

Thanks, Bonnie! I copied the obit so you can go ahead with your end of it now.
We're doing fine here. Glad all is well with you.

|James Blodgett||Frank Allen obituary|
You listed an obituary for Frank Allen's wife, Gertrude Fry Allen, from the Rockford Illinois Morning Star. Has this paper been digitized back to 1940 where I could do a look-up and find an obituary for Frank Allen who died in 1940 (Find A Grave Memorial# 133292328)?

You're very welcome.
I hope the photo is okay; the stone was so reflective I wasn't sure the names, dates, etc. would show up.

Could you transfer the Find A Grave #61000437 (Henry L. Brownfield) to me? He is my father's brother and I would like to update his their memorial. thanks,
Chris Brownfield Blue
Dewey was married to my Aunt Celia for almost 45 years. He was a wonderful man. He was a minister in the Church of God. He could speak French. He served in WW1.

I know his obit shows he is buried at the cemetery you set him up in, but is there anyway to verify that since it was a family member that contacted you?
Assuming yours is correct, the more appropriate way is for me to ask Find A Grave to have mine set up as a cenotaph. Otherwise, the next person who goes through the same cemetery might put his memorial on again.
Let me know if you are sure he's buried in GA and wasn't possibly moved to NC

Please remove the obit from the pictures. I can add info to the bio area but do not want an obit in the picture area. Thank You.

Just a note to let you know how glad I am that you added those obits. I had a mystery with Lily and was hoping the tombstone had her maiden name on it. The abstracted records for Illinois deaths listed her father as William Warner but her children's obit that I located showed the McCubbin's name which you had on the memorial. So I was working through records to prove to myself as to which was the correct surname, Warner or McCubbin. Thank you again for your help.

Thank you so much for he photos of their tombstone. I appreciate you help with my request along with all the work you contribute toward Find A Grave. It helps we researchers who are unable to travel that far. Thank you again.
