Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hello:) I'm originally from Washington, Indiana but moved to Winslow (Pike County) when Joe and & I were married. My daughter is a graduate of OCU and my son is a graduate of Purdue. I work as an LPN in a nursing home and really enjoy it. I have 2 sweet, mischievous grandsons.

I started with genealogy in the early 1980's not long after getting married. It certainly was a horse if a different color before computers. Yes, I am addicted!

I'm available to find stones for you in Pike and Daviess Counties in southern Indiana. I'm usually quite busy but will do my best to get your request as soon as I can. I also do some genealogy look-ups for others so it might take a little bit before I can get to them. Thanks for being so patient :)
Jennie

Harris family
My lineage comes down from William Harris & Mary Vaughn, Susanah Harris & Henry W. Winkler, Manervia Alice Winkler & Robert Marion Vaughn, Everett Vaughn & Eula Kirk, and myself. Lets keep in touch on occasion. When you start Joe's tree let me know if you want to see my tree for reference.

ancestry
I use Ancestry.com for my family tree. Do you have an online tree? William & Mary Harris were my great great grandparents. Are you aware of a "Harris Book" by Ruth Ann and Paul Harris? A copy is apparently in the Petersburg Indiana library if you have not seen it.

geneology
I use Ancestry.com for my family tree. How about yourselves, do you have a tree online and do you use Ancestry also. Are you aware of a "Harris Book" put together by Ruth Ann and Paul Harris? Apparently a copy is the Pike County Library in Petersburg. I was sent a few pages out of and called Ruth Ann about it. She has much other history on the entire Harris family in the book. Do you have any other Harris family members in the Payne Cemetery besides the three you put into "Find A Grave"?

Harris photos on Payne Cemetery
Dear Jennie, Thanks so much for the photos. I see you added another Harris tombstone. I am guessing I will find her somewhere in the family as well. Thanks for thinking of that as well. This is my first time for requesting photos although I have volunteered to take some at several nearby cemeteries. It is a great idea and very helpful when at a distance. Thanks again and I really appreciate your time and effort. Perhaps I can help you out at sometime.

Gammon
Hi Jennie
I am into Genealogy also I am connected to the Gammons through my Great Grandmother Sarah Ellen Gammon married George Euen Gibbs. They are also buried in Oak Grove. She was the daughter of William Jackson and Emaline Eva Quakenbush Gammon.
I have researched Gammon Gibbs Quakenbush Patton Nolley Stuckey Coulter and Cornwell and Trinkle all of Southern Indiana. I am willing to share any info with you.

Elisha Alphonso Williams
Hi Jennie,

the office at Mother of God Cemetery in Keton Vale said that there are no burial records for Elisha Alphonso Williams.

They did confirm that some graves had been moved there. Do you know where he was originally buried, if moved?

I'll be glad to help if possible.

Rob
