Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been a very generous person when it comes to sharing my family history and my photo's. I have noticed as well as others have brought it to my attention, that there are a few people that will copy the photo's and/or stories and post as if they had contributed them rather than give the person credit from where they got it!This includes duplicating memorials as well as adding to their trees on Ancestry.com.. Let this be notice that I will be contacting Find A Grave And Ancestry to have all removed that has not given me credit for my hard work that I have spent years doing as I was one of the few that was even doing research on the names in my family! It is common courtesy to ask permission to use a photo from the owner or original contributor, and only if you give that person credit for their work!!!!!
************ I started researching my genealogy in 1980 and got hooked. I took classes, and was taught by the best. The rest is history! I enjoy and feel such peace wandering through cemeteries. I have a lot of information. I hope it will help to make it easier for those of you that are researching. Please feel free to submit any corrections to me that I may make in error. I, like so many others, found this sight by accident. I was in such pain over the loss of my mother. FAG has been my source of comfort from so many caring and loving people that I now call friends and my angels. I would like to thank everyone that has visited and left flowers and a note for my family, it has truly brought such comfort to me. I have read about a lot of wonderful people and hope that I too have brought comfort to there family as well.
I would like to honor and give thanks to everyone that goes from cemetery to cemetery and or transcribes cemetery records, graves and/or takes pictures. Your hard work and generosity does not in any way go unnoticed to anyone researching. You are truly angels on earth to a genealogist. Keep up the good work! God Bless To Everyone!

I want to thank everyone that visits my family and leaves tokens and notes. Sometimes, I get so overwhelmed and behind on my Thank You's, but please know that they do not go unnoticed. From the bottom of my heart & soul I am touched with each one. Love To All & God Bless!

Benjamin Franklin Bethurum
Benjamin is not actually at Pleasant Mound. He has a marker along with three other individuals. There is no one in these graves. It was placed there as a memorial. It is rumored that when they widened Hwy 175 they relocated the graves at the Elam cemetery to other cemeteries. The where abouts of Benjamin is in question even though he has a marker at Pleasant Mound Public cemetery he is not interred there.

The entry I made is in the original cemetery he was interred in. He was later relocated to Pleasant Mound.

RE: Martin Luther Mathis
I really do not like merges, even if the person who maintains the record is inactive....... No, SAC is the same as the transfer request. It stands for "Suggest A Correction".

Tom is a really great guy! I really enjoy working with him. He has been working really hard to get Oak Hill completed in find a grave.

Good news, I got lucky and was able to easily copy your ID into the transfer field! So, your transfer is complete. Does not usually happen that way..........

Thank you for all of your hard work as well! I love this site, it helps so many people find family their members and is such a great way to keep myself busy! Let me know if I can help in any way? Take care, Dawn

RE: Martin Luther Mathis
I know Tom was working on Cleaning Oak Hill up, so he may have requested a merge for some reason, not sure why though? I did take photo's at Oak Hill for Tom and added them to each existing record and added records for anyone who was not in find a grave. that is probably why I entered Mr. Mathis, as I did not find a record listed in Oak Hill for him. I am not a fan of merging records and have never requested a merge. Merging seems to mess up more records than it fixes........ That is horrible that all of his links were lost! I am so sorry to hear that!

If you send me a SAC, I will transfer Mr. Mathis to you. Sorry, I could not be of more help.

I see from your note on Leonard's memorial that he was your GGG Grandfather. His dau Sarah Margaret is my G Grandfather's mother. My G GF is J L Stewart. How are you related to Leonard? It is a small world...

RE: Bethurum=Beeman
That would make sense based on other census/records. They listed Fannin, but since Fannin says nope, gotta search, search, search. Thanks for all your help! C
