I am a southern Pennsylvania resident and have been doing genealogy for 20 years, primarily on my mother's family. Her maiden name was Comer and she was born in Grayson County, VA. My sister, Linda, and her daughter, Shari, help me by taking many of the photos of the grave markers/stones and adding them to this website. They are a tremendous help to me. |
If you would like for me to transfer to you any of your kinfolk that I have entered, please click the "EDIT" tab at the top of the memorial, then click "Suggest a Correction, etc." and, after entering your request, click "SEND". Find-A-Grave will then automatically email me with the memorial number you requested and your contributor number included. It is not necessary for you to type those numbers in if you use the EDIT tab. BTW, I am not too fussy or nitpicky about your relationship to the person you request since it's hard for me to fathom that you would want to manage the memorial of a person who is not related to you. I would like to think that your intentions are good and honest. So, with that said, I would be happy to transfer anyone as long as I am not related to him/her/it also.
Finally, I use a number of sources to create memorials to include death certificates, obituaries, family trees, other people, etc. I cannot guarantee the accuracy of those sources. Death certificates are excellent sources of info but they, too, are often in error, especially the older certificates. I have found, though, that the death dates listed on the certificates are generally very accurate and if they're off, it's usually only by a day or two. More often, the grave marker is in error when there is a conflict with the death certificate.

Couldn't believe it when I posted the tombstone photo and I saw you owned the memorial. Small world.
Working on photo documenting the entire cemetery with two other guys. 29,000+ tombstones. Getting there small chunks at a time. I mean, who needs free time?

There is a guy in NY City that I've helped with research at the NC Archives in Raleigh, and will be doing another trek over there in the next few weeks. If you need something, let me know (wills, land grants, etc).
