RE: Thank You (Alice M. Meyer)
You're welcome Mary! Hopefully the ones you think live in Crown Hill aren't really there, but with our Father above. :-) Hugs to you!!

RE: Some Info About Cyrill Janda
Thanks for all the information you sent on GARY's family. Your great grand father was Cyrill and Gary's was Cyrill's brother Frantisek FRANK Janda. So you must be in the same age group as he is...I wrote the Railroad History of Plattsmouth, NE in my notes. I will now add some of the info you gave as why they may have come here. Also, that was the last of the free land when they got here and made their homesteads. Do you have the photo of the band that Cyrill and Frank and the rest of the boys were in in Plattsmouth, taken July 4, 1889. You are more literate than me as I only know how to do research and do not even know how to put photos like you did on your reply to me. The name of the ship they came over on is the ORDR. I think I have a picture of that also...The Czech Immigrant Passenger Lists, Steamship ORDR sailed from Bremen, Germany on 13 July 1879 and docked in New York on July 30, 1879...Where do you live MaryLee?? We are in Payette, IDAHO. Gary has been trying to get an obituary for his real father in Havlock, Nebraska outside of Lincoln. Findagrave does not have a cemetery there with his name listed. We think we have a picture of him with Gary when he was going into the Army but not sure. We need the obit. Hopfully we can come to Nebraska next year and go over the 52 lots in the cemetery that Kenny sent to me several years ago and look up the obituary in the newspaper...This family really fascinates me. Thanks again for your info...

RE: Do I Know You?
I looked up your brother in the 61 archives SC, I remember his face, but I didnt know him personally. He was one year ahead of my brother Don. I track old railroaders, I am one myself, 40 years with the Missouri Pacific and UP. Published my first and I hope not my only book on the people who worked the RR's. See picture on my Bio..Mike

Baby Jane
Thank you so much for remembering Baby Jane. This little girl's mother threw her into a river to be washed away and forgotten but thanks to you we will never forget her.

John Andrew Meyer
Thank you for responding. The first ancester on my Meyer family in America was Daniel Meyer born in Hudorf, near Frankfort, Rhineland,Prussia (Germany). Daniel died in 1875 in Morgan County, MO.
I haven't had a chance to look at my Meyer family further bac yet. However I believe that If we can go back far enough we would be related.

John Meyer.
