I was born 1946 in Amherst Texas to Wilma Nell Shelby and Earl Tyler Propes. They divorced in 1947 and I lived with my Grandparents until I started school. My mother remarried in 1948 to Clyde Octave "Doodle" Taylor. They are both now deceased. I was adopted by my step-father in 1962. I have a brother (step)who is still living. I married Vernon Douglas Talbutt 29 May 1964. He died 5 May 1966. I married Douglas Eugene Barker 29 June 1967. I have two daughters and 6 grandchildren. I also have a grandchild that was placed for adoption when she was born. I love all my family very much and I do not want the ones that are gone to be forgotten.
