My Goal is to make sure that ancestors of my family and other families have access to their family roots. I feel that it is important to trace your family roots and if I can help provide one single trace for one single person then I know that I have helped someone.

Mystery
Susan C, Isaac U, & Josephus Leatherwood
I found a Record where Susan C Leatherwood was living with Pertiller A Leatherwood in 1860. He was 29 and born in South Carolina. Is this a piece tp the mystery? I can't find who his parents are, In a round about way I am related to Mart Lou Terry

The funny thing is that my brother was married to a Mary Lou making her Mary Lou Terry. nothing to do with the mystery but I thought it was funny.

I hope to hear from u soon. I love mysteries.

Grace, I am grateful for your interest in the families and their history.

I am keenly interested in Terry, a loooooottttt of them, who are in my family lines. I have also very interested in the Terry's and others who served in the 16th Regiment of Alabama Infantry. It formed in Lawrence County and a lot of soldiers who served came from Lawrence County. I compiled a book on them some years ago. We are about to produce another, and would like to incorporate as much information as possible about those who served in the military during the War for Southern Independence.....
so in that light I am going to start a Virtual Cemetery of Soldiers of the 16th Regiment of Alabama Infantry. I would love your help doing so.I would appreciate help from anyone who would like to see this part of history maintained for future generations.

Guy DiGuilio
Hi; my friend got me interested in this site, so I just signed up - I live right by St. Denis Cemetery, and have contacted them regarding the requests here. Your 'Guy' is listed as Guy Vincent DiGuilio and is in Section 6, Range 12, lot 42, where he was buried on 3/3/2004. As soon as I can pick up a map at the cemetery office, I'll get a photo for you. You're my first response, because my name is Gail Nichols. :)

Just wanted to let you know that you made a dupe of this memorial, however since you have the picture on your memorial, I think we should delete mine. The date of June 25 must be an typing error, it should read June 26 according to the obit unless this is someone you know and the paper made the date error.

Just let me know and I will delete my memorial.
