RE: Nora Fleece
Done. I realized I made a duplicate right after I set my memorial page for Nora Fleece. Sorry I got distracted and failed to delete page right away.... before I got your message. Regards.

RE: Lucille Garling
If you ever come across anything on Paul or Lucille Garling, please let me know. He was my Mother's cousin. Wish I would have paid more attention to my research years many do, I'm sure. Merry Christmas!

Lucille Garling

Sadly, Lucille passed away before I was able to get in touch with her. I am trying to id old photos of possibly her mother-in-law, which was my great aunt. Do you know of anyone who may have photos or may be able to help? I know her husband (Paul E Garling) was a historian. Can you help in locating his information? Thank you ever so much for any help you might offer.

Greetings Gary! On SECOND look, you are totally right and I was wrong. I was going by the "Price's Church" name, not Antietam, but now I have discovered that the two names are interchangeable. I am still curious though why George would have been buried in a Brethren cemetery. Is the cemetery basically public, not just Brethren?

Thank you for your excellent work on the records! It is hard for me to check things out, physically, since I live in Tasmania, Australia. I have visited the Antietam Brethren meetinghouses though, as well as the cemetery up from the Seventh Day Snowberger community (Nunnery). While the place was still running, I even managed to attend a Saturday morning church service at that place years ago. Very beautiful setting. Too bad it was not preserved more or kept somehow as a community. I have a very beautiful songbook from that community, printed in Chambersburg, 1852, half in German and half in English. I presume you must be from this Schneeberger family.

All the best to you, in Christ,

Peter Hoover

George L. Hoover, who appears in your records, was actually not buried at the Antietam Brethren cemetery. He was cremated and his marker appears elsewhere. -- Peter Hoover
