Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been a student of the histories of my family and my wife's for over ten years. We live in the mountains of north-west North Carolina, but that's about the only area were we don't have ancestral roots. Members of our families have lived in most of the rest of the United States after immigrating from the German states, Great Britain, Finland, and perhaps elsewhere (see our website, link below).

I have posted memorials from some nearby cemeteries in a small effort to repay the assistance I have obtained from the similar work of others, in addition to some posts for family members in places we have visited.

If you have corrections or additions to my memorials, please let me know. If you are related to anyone memorialized who is not a member our family I would be happy to transfer their memorial if you would like. Drop me a line.

RE: Orashio Knisley
At least I figured out why I researched this . . . daughter Lulu had a son, David, who married into my Nowels family. Doesn't help with number of children, but I did edit this to reflect four children, all seem to be Orashio and Louise's - born after their marriage in 1896. Unless his second wife was also named Louise and I don't see evidence of a second wife, either before or after.

Orashio Knisley
I was probably wrong about the number of children he had and counted one of step children as his. I'll double check. I'm not related directly in any way. Can't remember where I got this.

Reuben Farnsworth gravestone photo
May I have your permission to download the photo of the gravestone of Reuben Farnsworth (Memorial# 39462223)?
I would like to upload the photo into my Ancestry family tree.
Thank you for your consideration.

RE: Memorial you Posted then Transferred
The original notes I was able to add to the memorials came from old transcriptions, so there were stones in the past. The only way to know if they are still there is to request photos. I noticed that member Janet Allison just claimed some of the photo requests. You might want to contact her.

Terry, I do not have any additional info on Ella. Left a message for Karen to make sure she is still active here on findagrave. She appears to be. Sometimes, messages just go astray. Hopefully you will hear from her soon.

RE: Adolphus W Lewis & family
Adolphus is my great-grandfather. I don't really know what's involved with having him and the others transferred to me.

RE: Linking Frank & Adolphus Lewis
Does that mean that the same person has to manage both, or that the person who manages Frank has to do it?

RE: Sarah J. Lewis
Hi Terry,
Sarah and her husband are not direct descendants, but her mother's Winebarger line marries into my Watauga ancestors over and over again. If you like to transfer it that's, fine, or you can continue to manage it. It's okay with me either way. Are you a direct descendant of them?

Thanks,
Jamie
