Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am an Activities Director at a small retirement home in Wrentham. I am a Wrentham "Townie" and a member of the Wrentham Historical Society. If you have any questions regarding the former residents of this town do not hesitate to ask. I will try to find out as much information on them as I possibly can. I have a wonderful photo album on Facebook of pictures of Wrentham if you are interested. Just "friend" me and mention Find A Grave.

RE: Devereux's at Central Cemetery
Barbara, I don't remember what I was working on but I came across some Hancock County Cemetery listings through the local library and I copied and transcribed them to findagrave. The information was originally transcribed to paper from the cemetery records.

You might want to check with the superintendent of this cemetery to find out exactly where they are buried within Central Cemetery. It could be possible that there are no headstones. Or (in several cases I have come across) there are flat stones that have sunk into the ground and become overgrown. The worst case I came across was a family plot of six stones where all of them were either completely or partially overgrown. One was about 6 inches sunk into the ground. I ended up digging them up and notifying the superintendent that they had to be reset.

RE: Minnie Metcalf
Yes, it is Minnie I'm related to as she is my great aunt. The Metcalf name is by marriage to "Earl", I think.

Thank you, Barbara, for taking this photo of Aunt Minnie. You may remember that we had correspondence re: the town of Wrentham. I was subsequently able to access the photo album on Facebook. I think "my people" predated most of the photos. However, the first photo shows a store that I think may have, at one time, been the store of my ggrandfather, Frank Redding.

RE: Gertrude
Thank you. She is the grand aunt of my wife's niece. Her name is Faye Redding. The Redding side of her family had their roots in Wrentham. I will have her contact you. Keep up the good work.

RE: George Cunningham
Thanks again. Marie Connors was his wife. I think. I found an online obituary with the date Feb 18 2003. The photo looks to show Feb 18, but the year looks more like 2009 on the stone. I think they lived in Rockland longer, North Attleboro later. She was a reporter for the Patriot Ledger and Rockland Standard Times according to the obit.
