Sorry but I don't have any info that can help you. I wish I did. If I come across info from other family members, I will let you know.

Joe, happy to help. We went up to Canterbury Cemetery to look at my wife's relatives and took the opportunity to photograph all of the headstones.

William Fulton
Hello cousin!
I am also a great-great-great grandson of William Fulton, Wapello County, Iowa.
I'm wondering if you may have any photos of William or any of his relatives that you could share with me.
I've been working on a biography of my great grandfather William Kilbourne Fulton (1849-1939) who along with his mother Hannah and sister Marilla is listed in William's household in the 1850 Federal Census. Hannah was the widow of William's son also named William (1819-1849)who died at. Amity, Ohio in August of 1849. I have this William's family Bible. Would love to communicate further about our Fulton's from Iowa.

RE: Lazurus VanBebber
Hi Joe,
I believe Lazarus went directly to Kings Valley in 1846 or early in 1847. I have no eveidence other than he did not show up anywhere else and that his daughter married the neighbor, Isaac King, in 1847. I do know that Lazarus had quite a bit of property around Benton County and left some of it to Oregon State University. He had quite a fight with his daughter who wanted to have him declared incompetent and become his guardian, but he came out the winner in court. He ended up outliving her. Hope that helps.

RE: James Drummond
Yes, you may use the biography I used here on Find-a-Grave to place on the Fold 3 website. I should note that much of this info (including the letter from Ben Tobias) was obtained from pension claim records, as his mother Rose Ann applied for survivor benefits. I had written to the pension office to get copies of the pension several years ago. (I am descended from his father's sister Jane Drummond Peterson Miller). I should also note, all of these records show James' middle initial as "M" so I believe that must be correct. This is from affidavits from his mother and neighbors who made depositions about the pension claim. Thank you for posting this on Fold 3, I use that website also, and am happy to help contribute any info I can. Thanks again, Cindy Rice

Hi Joe,
I noticed you once left flowers for Opal Whiteley, early Oregon Author. She now has a fame rating option, so it would be great if you would visit her memorial again and give her a rating. Thanks!

RE: Emanual Defreitas
You can certainly add the info as it is his published obituary. The source should be credited as the newspaper and date, as stated on his memorial, not me. I don't mind you using my photo (with credit, of course) but I wondered if you really want to use it, as it does not have his name on it but is a large family stone with only his daughter's name on it. I guess that is up to you, however. Thanks for asking!
