You made me laugh!! Or giggle.
Be sure you are logged in
When you are, you will see the edit link next to the burial info
Click that. Select burial unknown at this time, push continue
The memorial pops up again and then go to the edit again.
Choose Cemetery burial and continue again
Put Evergreen in the top box there, choose Michigan from the drop down menu, choose the right county and then select the Search for the Cemetery link
Next will come up a screen to choose the correct cemetery, choose the one that says Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
You can add your plot number on that page too.
Then be sure to hit the link save changes
Easy peasy once you get the knack of it.
Let me know if you have any problems! I'm glad to help!
You said in your message that you have a photo of the stone?? Why don't you post it on the memorial??
Thanks for your long dedication to the site and all your work!
Got your message-thanks
I am not saying he is not in Evergreen Cemetery. Its just that there is already an Evergreen Cemetery on Find a Grave..
The one you have your ancestor is not the proper cemetery "page".
If you would look at this link
It is the Evergreen Cemetery page that your ancestor belongs in.
The cemetery is called Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, not just called Evergreen.
If you move him over there, and put in a photo request, someone will add a photo to your memorial
Do you understand now?
The Evergreen Cemetery you have him in is a duplicate cemetery page.
And still if you need help transferring him, just let me know and I can show you step by step
|Karyn Buckner Garvin||RE: Are you still working on Find A Grave?|
No, what I mean is are you answering queries where people are sending you corrections? There's a post on your message board about a duplicate you have, from September 2011, and I sent you a SAC on the same one recently as well.

Please respond. If you are no longer working on this site, please let Admin know so they can mark you Inactive and take care of your memorials.

|Charles Robin Rauch||RE: GUSTAV A. NYLANDER|
GOT YOUR E-MAIL...I THINK YOUR WIFE'S FAMILY MAY BE A DIFFERENT BRANCH OF THE NYLANDER FAMILY FROM THE INFORMATION YOU SENT TO ME, UNLESS HE MAY HAVE BEEN A BROTHER, COUSIN, ETC. OF NILES OLSSON NYLANDER. MY GRANDMOTHER DIED WHEN I WAS WAS ABOUT 12 YEARS OLD AND THEY HAD EIGHT BOYS, NONE OF WHICH HAD ANY GENEALOGY KNOWLEDGE FOR US TO GO ON. THEREFORE, WE DON'T HAVE A GREAT DEAL OF INFORMATION.
HERE IS A SUMMARY OF WHAT WE DO HAVE:
MY GREAT GRANDFATHER WAS NILES OLSSON NYLANDER (b. SEPT. 8, 1841-d. 1904 IN SWEDEN). HE MARRIED ANNA MAGDALENA LUNDHOLM (APRIL 27, 1844-d.1904 IN SWEDEN). THEIR CHILDREN WERE:
1.AUGUST B. NYLANDER (b.SEPT. 26, 1871-d. UNKNOWN)
2. ERIK OTTO NYLANDER (b. NOV. 16, 1885-d.NOV. 20, 1948). HE MARRIED GERDA TERESA HAAKINSON (b. 1888-d. UNKNOWN.) THEY HAD SONS: GUSTAV A. NYLANDER (b.1924) AND CALVIN (b.1925)
3.FRED NYLANDER (b. OCT 2, 1877-0 d. 1960) MARRIED CHARLOTTE STRANDBERG ON MARCH 29, 1912. SHE WAS (b.1884 IN SWEDEN-d. OCT. 28, 1948 IN KEARNY,ESSEX COUNTY, NEW JERSEY. CHILDREN WERE RALPH E. NYLANDER (b.1918), ELSIE C NYLANDER (b. 1920), AND ALFRED F. NYLANDER (b. 1928)
4.JOHAN NYLANDER (b. SEPT 29, 1875-d. UNKNOWN)
5.JONAS VIKTOR NYLANDER (b. 1888-d.1937) MARRIED EDITH FLORENCE ALMYREN (b. DEC. 30, 1893-d.APRIL, 1977 IN MIAMI, DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA)
6.NILS "OLOR" OR "OLAF" NYLANDER (b.JAN 1869-d. UNKNOWN).
7.PETER GUSFOFF NYLANDER (b. 1885- d. 1950)
8.JOHANNAH (NYLANDER) RAUCH (MY GRANDMOTHER)( b. JULY 30, 1880- d. JAN. 21, 1964 IN TULSA. MARRIED CHARLES GOTTLIEB RAUCH IN CLAREMORE, OKLAHOMA. LIVED IN TULSA THE REST OF THEIR LIVES. CHARLES G. RAUCH CAME TO AMERICA FROM GERMANY. THEIR EIGHT BOYS WERE: TOMMY RAUCH, OTTO VON RAUCH, JOHN HENRY RAUCH, FRED RAUCH, CARL RAUCH, GEORGE PHILLIP RAUCH AND THEODORE R. RAUCH.
9.KRISTINA (NYLANDER) GUDLAND CARLSON (b.OCT. 5, 1873-d. 1940 IN NEW JERSEY.) MARRIED ______GUDLAND AND THEN CARL EARNEST CARLSON.
PETER G. NYLANDER WE BELIEVE LIVED IN THE MIAMI, FLORIDA AREA. WE BELIVE THAT ALL SIX OF THE CHILDREN WHO DID COME TO THE USA, CAME TO ELLIS ISLAND AND THEN LIVED IN NEW JERSEY AND NEW YORK AREAS BEFORE GOING TO OTHER STATES.IT HAS BEEN DIFFICULT TO LOCATE AREAS FOR WHERE THEY LATER LIVED.
ALSO, RUSSELL, I THOUGHT THERE WERE ONLY EIGHT CHILDREN OF NILES AND MADGALENA, BUT MY COUSIN HAD ANOTHER SON LISTED SO IT MAKES NINE CHILDREN IN TOTAL.(SEVEN BOYS AND TWO GIRLS.)
I HAVE ALSO BEEN LOOKING FOR IMMIGRANTS FROM SWEDEN ON THE ELLIS ISLAND WEBSITE AND DID FIND THE SHIP ON WHICH MY GRANDMOTHER CAME TO AMERICA, BUT THAT IS THE ONLY SIBLING SO FAR THAT I HAVE FOUND SO FAR ON THAT SITE. MY COUSIN MARI ANN (RAUCH) BLUST FOUND THAT SIX OF THE NINE CHILDREN IMMIGRATED TO AMERICA BETWEEN 1900 AND 1906.
HOPE THIS INFO MAY HELP IN YOUR GENEALOGY AND I AM SO GLAD THAT YOU RESPONDED! AS I INDICATED ABOVE, YOUR WIFE'S FAMILY COULD HAVE BEEN A BROTHER, COUSIN OR ?; WOULD BE GREAT TO KNOW...TAKE CARE AND HOPE TO HEAR FROM YOU AGAIN. I AM PUTTING YOUR NAME ON MY LIST FOR FRIENDS TO CONTACT AND FILING YOUR INFORMATION IN MY NYLANDER FOLDER, JUST IN CASE. IT'S ALWAYS GREAT TO FIND NEW INFORMATION ABOUT OUR RELATIVES AND I WANT TO DOCUMENT AS MUCH INFORMATION NOW SO OUR "FAMILIES" WON'T HAVE SUCH A DIFFICULT TIME IF THEY WANT TO DO RESEARCH IN THE FUTURE.
CHARLES RAUCH, TULSA, OK.
|Charles Robin Rauch||GUSTAV A. NYLANDER|
