I have been researching my family tree for several years. I especially enjoy working in the cemeteries. My brick wall seems to be the Neal's (Neil, Niel, Neel), Plumlee's & Cash's of Knox Co., Tennessee. If you are researching the same, I would love to hear from you. | |

 | John Gibson French Kathy -- Just found another member of your Tennessee Frenches, son of Peter, Jr. and Malinda (Ellison) French. Married to Victoria B. Harris in 1885, moved to Oregon with 3 sons: Deadrick, Arthur, and Leonard. Ken | | | Kenneth D. Tyler
 | French Family in Knox & Blount Co. TN So Kathy, you must be related in some way to the Frenches considering all of the materials which you have added to Find-a-Grave. I am connected to French family members who descend from John French (1742-1787) and his wife Maria Barbara French (1741-1817). I have just recently begun adding info and using your work as verification. Please connect with me at tpcanoe44@wi.rr.com. Thanks for all of your hard work.

 | French Family Kathy -- Thank you so much for adding the death certificates for French family members in Blount County TN. I have just begun to "round out" my French connections in TN and they have been a great help! Ken Tyler, Oostburg WI | | | Rags
 | Pickens I forgot to tell you: The Pratts had a small grocery store at Smithwood in Fountain City for as long as I could remember, corner of Jaxboro Pike (sp?) and Tazewell Pike. It may still be there. Any time I ever entered that store, one or another Pratt would recognize me and ask after Helen. Smithwood Baptist Church is nearby, where Minnie was a longtime member. She was also elected County Court Clerk or Tax Assessor, I forget which: two terms, probably in the '40's or '50's. I hope some of this helps.Added by Rags on Feb 28, 2013 6:41 PM | | | Rags
 | Pickens Sorry it's been so long!
I assume you found Minnie Pickens by now. Just in case you haven't, She's buried at Lynnhurst, #103763973, created 18Jan2013. She was born in 1899, according to their records, which is not what I told you before, as that is not what my mother thought.
Roy's daughter, Helen Wickum, was married twice, (#36177296) to a Pratt, in Fountain City, and then to Frank Wickum, who moved them to Winter Park, Florida. It's possible one or both of them are still alive, though I have found no trace.
No luck on Virginia Pickens, John Hinton's 2nd wife. I have one more possible lead, but I'm not in Knoxville, so I won't be able to follow up right away.
Feel free to contact me at any time. Message at Find a Grave is probably the easiest right now: I'm in compulsive mode, and I'm here almost every day. My email account, on the other hand, is full of spam and junk, and I can't access it easily unless I'm at the library. I'll try, however, not to take 2 YEARS(!) the next time.Added by Rags on Feb 28, 2013 6:33 PM | | | Sherry Gibson
