Bio Photo I absolutely love studying my family lines and learning more and more about who I am. My family (paternal) is mostly from North Texas (Bowie, Sunset, Wichita Falls, Dallas, Red Water) and just 2-3 generations have settled here.I am always looking for new clues, so if you visit my virtual cemeteries and have any information or questions, feel free to send me a message or email. Thanks and God Bless!I am the 5th great granddaughter of John Himes Livergood, survivor of the Black Bean Episode during the fight for Texas' independence. You can read a bit about him at

Last names I'm currently researching:McDonald (Texas/Alabama), McCarty (mostly of Texas), Wilson (mostly of Texas), Moses, Putney, Livergood, Brannen, Foree.

RE: Foree

Henry Silas Foree's maternal grandmother, Mary (Nuttall) Lamb, (1767-1839), was the sister of two of my 3 greats grandfathers,
which means you're my 5th cousin twice removed.

I'm hoping to eventually be able to add memorials Henry's father and maternal grandparents. The exact location of at least two of these graves has been lost, but clues may exist to permit adding Find-a-Grave memorials, along with thoughts as to likely places of internment. Concerning Henry's father, Edwin Foree, (1810-1853), there's nothing on where he may have died. His maternal grandmother, Mary (Nuttall) Lamb, (1767-1839), died in Carroll Co., KY. I have suspicions, based on the location of her husband Jacob Lamb's land and various family members buried there, as to where she might be buried, but can't be certain. Henry Silas Foree's maternal grandfather, Jacob Lamb, (1766-1863), died in Indianapolis, IN. He was living with his daughter Frances (Lamb) Cropper, and her husband Alexander, both of whom are buried in Crown Hill Cemetery, but we can't be certain Jacob's there. A
death notice for Jacob appeared in the Dec.2,1863 Indianapolis
Journal. This paper is now only available on microfilm, at certain
libraries in Indianapolis, and I've yet to see the actual document.
[The same paper also reportedly published an article on May 28,
1861, on your ancestor Jacob Lamb being 95 and having served
in three wars, including the Revolution.]

I'd definitely be willing to transfer Henry to you, being a direct
descendant, if you'd like. But are there any children or grand-
children from whom you descend who should be transferred

Clyde McDonald
Hannah -- My name is Robert E Rommel. I used to live across the street from your great-grandfather Clyde in Lakewood Estates in Montgomery County. I purchased my home there back in the summer of 1977 and I think it was from your grandfather Robert Eugene "Gene" McDonald. I remember talking with Clyde on numerous occasions. He was so interesting and loved to talk about his logging business. I remember that he had a fleet of big trucks and he told me that he never owned anything but Mack trucks. He said they were the best trucks on the road. My address there was 2503 Lakewood Estates, Conroe, TX 77301. I think that road now has a different name. Am I correct that there are your ancestors? Thanks.

Thanks for visiting Edna's memorial. Yes, she had quite a way about her, especially the way she ate apples!
