Thanks for the message Jim, I appreciate it. We moved to The Isa in late 1961 & I first saw Slim at the next Rodeo. Actually the full story is that I heard him & snuck in under the tent to watch him as at 6 yrs old I didn't have the money to get in via the main entrance. That in turn caused chaos in the family with all and sundry searching for me & given that my Mum was a real city slicker she was certain that I had been kidnapped. My brother Kenneth (who we lost in a road accident in the Isa in 1964) finally found me & boy did I get into trouble but it never stopped me from loving Slim.
