I'm a native Houstonian and Texan. I've been married for 42 years, have 3 grown, married kids and still have 1 living at home. I also have 13 grandkids! No. 14 is due this Sept. And I have great grandson. |
I'm disabled, due to a work related injury back in 1995. I have been working on our family tree since 1996. I love researching genealogy!

Hi Lynn! I saw that Samuel Boydston is your 4th GGR; Benjamin Boydston his brother is my 4th GGR; I have their father and our 5th GGR as James Boydston. But, I have Tabitha Smith for Benjamin's mother and Mary Pruitt as Samuel's mother. I am going to look at this some more, thought I had it right, but now think not. But it is great to find you! I will probably email you in the morrow, it is late. I just found some new info. on Samuel.

|Babs||John Preston Morris|
I have added edits for parents for Preston that I have found in recent research on Morris kin in my ancestry line. I also found that in the OCT, 1850 U.S. Federal Census record in Limestone County Alabama, that John Preston was living with his widowed mother, Nancy Morris and older half-brother, Lewis Morris.
When you go to Nancy's Memorial #73730127--Morris Cmty., Limestone, AL, you will find that the death date,(hard to read because stone is broken), has been read as earlier than this date by more than one individual, which I have questioned in light of the census record. Just thought I needed to bring this to your attention; old stones are sometimes difficult to read and I have found the wrong information on some markers including my own grandfather's!

When you call the cemetery at 713-928-5141 and get a "SECTION" and "LOT" I will try to get the picture you want.
Sorry for the lateness of my making corrections to the memorial for John Leroy Thompson. I will be quicker in the future!

|Richard E. Niles||Elizabeth H Thompson|
I walked the entire cemetery on October 20, 2013 (just over 100 graves) and did not find a headstone for Elizabeth. I have also found a USGenWeb website for this cemetery which cites a 1963 census of the cemetery. This census lists only four Thompson's, none of which are Elizabeth. You are quite welcome. I hope you do not mind that I added so many pictures on his site. I also have two maps of the cemetery if you wish to have it. One is of the cemetery itself and the other is a map of the section of " Garden of Peace" and where your Grandfather lays in it. Just let me know if you want it and I will send it to you. Here is my e-mail address, just put your grandfathers name or something in the subject so I do not delete it as junk mail
|Cecil Vaden Jr.||Benjamin Williams @ Forest Park|
I see you added a picture request for Benjamin Williams @ Forest Park Cemetery in Houston. If you would call the cemetery at 713-928-5141 and get a "SECTION" and "LOT" I will try to get the picture you want. This is a very large (225+) acre cemetery and without a location would be very hard to find.
