RE: Schaeffer Cemetery
I know and understand your pain :-0
He has actually been there and the cemeteries are very close to one another
(like across the road)
they are both very small very old family grave yards
It is very frustrating with these small OLD cemeteries
I have not been down for a year or so, and I hope to in the spring for a weekend, just to cemetery hop...I think the library in Warsaw has to have old sexton books for some of these small grave yards?
I am sorry I can not be more helpful!

Information about John & Nancy Collins & daughter Sarah

Thank you for posting burial information about John Collins. I have found some information on him through various genealogical websites, but am hoping to find more information about his daughter Sarah who married Aaron McKinley in 1850. Also, I am trying to find where he came from in Virginia. My half brother is also one of John's descendants, so I am hoping to find more information about John & Nancy as well as Sarah and Aaron McKinley. (Sarah McKinley and her son Leander McKinley were living with John Collins in 1860, so I think Aaron must have died; Sarah and Leander go back to the name Collins in 1870, but Sarah is no longer listed after that in the census records.) I also sent an email to you with this same message. Thank you for any information you can provide.

RE: Melody
Yeah my father was into that all as well. Sadly he was an addict for years after too. A good man, ( incredible guy) but had addiction take over his life. They all probably ran around together. I figured thats what he was talking about. Even though I am more blunt with his past, some are more sensitive. Thank you for the information though. Such a sad tale, with so many unanswered questions. It would be so great to meet Natasha. I wonder where the name "Robin" came from? Maybe it was a name he had given her himself not knowing anything about her. Sort of a nick name or fill in name. Do you know how old Natasha was when Melody passed? Must have been fairly young. Perhaps if i could find her, she could have more answers to her life? If in fact she would be natural child to my father? Sometimes just knowing your roots can fill empty holes one carries with the unknown.

RE: Melody Jo Milliner
Wow. Thank you for your response. My father ( David Seidel) Said that he had a child with her.He said the daughters name was robin I believe ( could be mistaken). My father was a good man, but had his issues. Sometimes he said he ran out because he wouldn't have been fit, other times he said that they both decided to place her up for adoption. Other times he said it was just a crazy situation. His story was never right on. Although a comfirmation that she had a daughter is huge to me. He said he Always felt so sad that he never got a chance to meet her. He also said that he almost did get in touch with family when he found out about Melody. He said he really cared for her, but that they were too young to commit. He said they both did things that they were not proud of. Never quite got the entire story. Perhaps when they were together, It was forbidden. As in both were in different relationships. Maybe when they found out about the baby,He chose to step out so that no extra drama was brought into Melodys life, if she was with someone else. He was a good man. All I know is that My father really cared for her and had spoke of this for many years about this. Always hoping that his daughter was happy and healthy out there. He also never was one to stir a pot, so he never tried finding her. So the answer to your question would be yes, That would make Melody's Daughter My half sister. Also I have a younger brother as well. Sadly my father passed 8 years ago. I decided to search more so that maybe i could fulfill something that he always wished he could have done. I also am so sorry for your loss. My heart has always been heavy for your family. I always felt a connection with this story because of my fathers stories.

Hope to hear more from you.

Hi, Did melody happen to have a child and place he or she up for adoption? My father Claimed that he and a young woman ( who was victim of the mo river killings)had a child and decided to place them up for adoption because they could not to care for the child at the time. she is the right age and was located in kck. Same as he. My father passed about 8 years ago, so my memory is a bit foggy.
