I have been doing my family's genealogy since 1989. I took up where my grandfather left off.|
I have many family names I am working on at any given time, which include:
Coles [Dolley Madison's line]
Henry [Patrick Henry is 1st cousin 7x removed]
Kuykendall or Van Kuykendall
McMinn or Menzies
Payne [Dolley Madison's line]
Posten or Poston
Preddy or Priddy
I am happy to oblige anyone seeking transfer of their family, however, any request of transferring any immediate family [please look at my list] will not be honored. If you make another listing for my immediate deceased family members, I will ask you nicely to take it down the first time. The next time I won't.
I will try to answer any questions I can and edit any information that is incorrect.
Thank you and have a nice day!

Yes, if you will transfer to me I will delete the one and add all of the links. Thanks, JNB.
|Jason Millard||James Ward|
I saw your photo request for James Ward. The cemetery has a database showing James was born
in 1849, no month or day. James died in June 8th, 1852.
I live about 1 mile from the cemetery, if you still want the picture, let me know.

Do you have the memorial number?
|Patt||Robert Mc Minn Sr|
Shasta, I am vey familiar with Noma Lee Taylor's McMinn book, and I too trust her work. I have copies somewhere of the entire book, and I will check that to see if there is anything in there giving photo's of the records. It was her work that got me started when I first began working with my husband's McMinn family! I will definitely add the information listed at the find a grave site! Thanks you so much for your help! Pat

Hi Shasta, I appreciate all he work you do on the Find a Grave site, Thank You. I am curious though, do you have any documents relating to the arrival and life of the Robert McMinn Sr prior to his life in North Carolina? I had the information you have listed at find a grave copied to my husband's tree, but when I tried to run down the potential records for some reason I questioned the information, I don't remember right now just why. When you go online a lot of people seem to think that this Robert is an heir to the Chester County, PA? McMinns (Family of Gov. McMinn), but the dates were wrong for that to be true. I guess what I am saying is, I myself can not find any information relating to Robert, and am hoping you have something that I can feel good about going ahead and uploading the information to my tree? Thanks for any help you can give, Patt Cooper

In surveying the cemeteries in Horry County, I have come across this Armstrong Cemetery.
Please tell me where this cemetery is located in Horry County so that we can document it in the county records along with our other work.

I see that you have created a memorial for Elizabeth McMinn with an unknown burial site. Elizabeth Robinson McMinn, my 3rd great grandmother is buried in the Ebeneezer Baptist Church Cemetery in Hendersonville, NC. Also, there is another Find A Grave Memorial #39860124 that has this information plus photos of her Scottish style tomb that was built by her sons with stones from the family farm. I have been to this cemetery and have many photos that include McMinn and Corn family graves. My family line is through her son James Robert McMinn. Regards, Kelly McMinn

I just noticed that two of your names are also mine.
Abraham Kuykendall's daughter who married Edmund McGuffee (sp.) is my line and Captain Robert Jones who married the McGuffee is mine.
I lack a lot having all the info I need on them but I keep plugging away.

I am always so happy that people let me know about my mistakes. I know I make many and of course I am just as sure I don't ever find them all even tho I try to double check as much as I can. That is why rather than take the short way, I try to always let people know when I see theirs. I so covet being told about mine. You all do so much for others that it is the least we can do if we see something to let you know.
God Bless you for all you do for others.
