In a public message on my contributor page, you wrote: Bob's wife's last name was Peery not Perry. I have known her since she was a child. Still do.
This is my problem, the IMDB website lists her maiden name as Perry, the same one I used. Is there a way to verify this? Did she change her spelling in mid-life (some people do), or is the IMDB site also wrong? Some proof of this would be helpful.

Thank you so much for offering your info! I really appreciate that. Do you have an obit or something for either of them? Do you have a tree online somewhere? Thanks!

Glad you asked. I had never been inspired to figure that out, but it didn't take much digging through Ancestry.com to find that Frances "Fannie" Kouns is the right spelling. She and John Samuel did not appear to have been married. JE was born in 1879; in 1880, Fannie was single and living with her parents' family. No infant is not present in that household. Fannie later married William Killgore, and they had a daughter. I am still looking into what happened to Fannie after that as William married again prior to 1910. The daughter lived with Fannie's parents, married, and stayed in the area. (Find A Grave Memorial# 82252456) Fannie was not mentioned in JE's obit, but death certificates are usually the one place I trust the mother's name to be recorded honestly when the parents weren't wed. I'm trying to find JE and JS on a 1880 Census; so far, no luck. I'll update the memorial when I check a few more sources.
