|Paul Gilbert||Sarah Tilford|
Jean, I am working on the Sarah Tilford who was the first wife of John Conover. I have a "gut feeling" that she might have been the daughter of William Tilford and Lucinda Gilham who were also in Morgan County, Illinois at the same time Sarah was there.

Just erasing messages and thought I would let you know the bushes are still there. Kay

Found your note on Sarah, wife of George Boord, and am having no luck on finding her maiden name. Would it be possible that you might have more information on her? She is my 3x great-grandmother, and I would so much like to know more about her. Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks for any help you might be able to give me and also for all you have contributed in the field of genealogy.

Glad to hear they contacted the cemetery. I keep checking to see if they are gone. I am taking pictures of the whole cemetery and so many stones under big bushes. I can crawl in under and get a picture of part of the stone sometimes but other times I can see it thru the bush but no way can get a picture. They should all be removed but one of the workmen told me as long as they are green, they won't let them remove them unless the family complains. Kay

I was spelling Kathryn's name wrong so will check again with the correct spelling. But the cemetery is insisting that I.Irene Aitken is not buried there. Since there is a death date on her stone I am sure she is, do you know for sure?? Kay

I have been photographing Graceland cemetery and I am now in section O. I came to the Aitken stone and in front to the left is I. Irene Aitken and a large bush (ugly and big) To the right is a another large and ugly bush and as I have found numerous stones under these bushes, I decided to get on the ground and see if there was one. Kathryn's stone is completely covered with this ugly bush. I went to the office and they told me Irene was not buried there but I am certain she is. I will look for an obit in a day or two. Liston John Aiken is buried in that section and I feel certain he is under one of the bushes. I had Kathryn's name wrong so they could not find her but she is there. I told them they needed to cut those bushes out and they agreed it was disrepectful but cannot do anything without the family requesting it. I am out there so much I feel like family to all of them but not. So thought you might like to contact them since you are family and they will remove the bushes. Kay
