I had gotten interested in this site after my mother had passed away. Some say I am obsessed with death but I dont think so. I think this is a nice way to pay tribute to our loved ones who had passed away. It can help with family members to do their family tree etc... Also nice for loved ones to view their resting place if they are far away and are unable to view the gravesite in person. A live shot would be nice but until then this is all we can do. |
Would love to hear from friends or family on what they think of this site. I leave cards at the gravesite to tell people about what I have done. I would like it if people email me and let me know what they think about what I have done. If they leave Flowers, a prayer or even a picture at their loved ones site. Would be nice to hear about the lives I have touched. Thanks Bill

Unfortunately, you can't get to this cemetery. Iocated in the Tall Grass Reservoir (close to Abraham Lincoln cemetery) It's behing barbed wire fencing. There are actually 4-5 cemeteries in this area, but I could only get to 1 of them. They say that there are guides that will take you along the trails, but I don't know if they would get close to the cemeteries. It's like having a cookie 2 feet away and your arms only reach 1 1/2 feet!

I want to thank you again for having tried to photograph the grave of Ferdinand "Ferdo" Majnaric at St. Mary Nativity Cemetery and also alert you to the cemetery office curiously having given you bad information. They told you that the cemetery has no record of the burial, however, another volunteer was able to find the grave and photograph it. If you go back to that cemetery again you might want to keep in mind that the cemetery office apparently doesn't have a very good track of who's there. Thanks.

Just thought it was someone you knew . . . and thought you would not mind taking over the memorial.

I think you did a great job. Mission Accomplished! I really did not expect there to be a marker. It was very rough times for the family then. Seeing the area still give a comforting feeling. Thank you so much!
