I am happy to fill requests for many of the local cemeteries including Fort Snelling, Oakland, Roselawn, Elmhurst, and Forest Lawn. You are welcome to request a photo by leaving a message on my contributor page.|
I was a professional photographer for eleven years and a few years ago I found that I enjoy photographing cemeteries. I'm not concerned with inflating my 'volunteer photo' numbers therefore I take as many photos as possible each time I go to the cemetery. What matters is that others are able to see a picture of a loved one's grave.
Please feel free to use any of my photos for your personal use. It would be best to credit the photo back to me for the simple fact that others may be interested in knowing the origin of the photo.
If you would like a memorial transferred to you, I would prefer that you use the Edit button in order to make sure the correct person is transferred to you.
On occasion I do make trips to the MN History Center so if you would like death/burial information for someone (I do this voluntarily), please leave a message for me with the person's full name, date of death, and certificate number if you have one.

Checking back to see if you had any success with this quest?

Fort Bliss National Cemetery used to have grass, but the water bill was huge, also the upkeep cost a lot. I don't mind the "desert landscaping" at all even though it is much hotter than a planted landscape.
I wasn't that pleased with the Wishard pictures, the inscription is very dim.

Christina, you left a message on my page asking if I was related to the Wishard family. My husband's great-grandmother was Henrietta "Etta" Wishard White - b. in Iowa 1861, died in Fannin Co TX in 1956 - her parents were Robert Thomas and Lavinia (Carney) Wishard. I have researched the family for about 20 years - received a lot of family data from Laura (Wishard) Milton before she passed away. Laura was a niece of Etta's and had researched the family for years. If you go to my FindAGrave profile you will find a link to my webpages - just scroll down almost to the bottom of the page to find the link to "Wishard". My direct email is also there if you wish to contact me.

I made the edits and I could transfer them if you'd like. Chloride is a semi-forgotten town. A family bought most of the town, included a store that was closed in the 20's with all of the stock in it! It's now a museum.
I transferred Della, and I also transferred Thomas Sorrell. He looked like he might have been Della's infant.
|Ross, NM||Well Done!|
I like your attitude.
So many contributors with the length of service and number of memorials you have write lengthy profiles full of Do's, Don'ts and Quotes from the FAQ's.
Keep up the good work.

Hi, Thanks for telling me there was a dup. They knew a lot more about her so I have deleted my memorial. Yes, if you have corrections send them on to that memorial. Or maybe they already had you info. Thanks again for telling me. Bobbye Varner
|Donna N||Thank you|
Thank you for posting the nice, clear close-up photos.
