Bio and Links
I was born, raised, and presently live in the Dry Valley, Wentworth, and Pierce City, MO area.

It has been my pleasure to be involved with The Dry Valley Cemetery Association since 1992.

The Asssociation was formed in 1980 with the following officers: Ramon E. Carver, President; Flossie Hagebusch Arnold, Vice President; Edith Hagebusch Rimmer, Sec/Treasurer.

Persons attending the organizational meeting:
Edith Rimmer, Byrl B. Carver, Ramon E. Carver, Milton Robb, Flossie Arnold, Henry Earl Hagebusch, Earl Wayne Hagebusch, Gladys Hagebusch Hardy, Mildred Hagebusch Honsinger, Bessie Lawyer Wight, John Wight, Ray Robb, Dorothy Ann Eoff Swar, and Norma Tollet.

It is important to preserve the history of Dry Valley and the people who lived in or near the community. I will continue to add bios as time allows.

Each Memorial and Veterans Day a large American flag is on the cemetery flag pole and individual American flags are placed on each veteran's grave. Through research I have learned we have 4 additional graves to decorate in 2010. Veteran service ranges from the War of 1812 to modern times. It is a pleasure to honor our vets.

There are many unmarked graves within the cemetery. Many years ago field stone markers were removed and discarded by an individual mowing the cemetery. Every effort is being made to indentify each individual through use of death certificates, funeral director records, and personal knowledge. If you can contribute information regarding any person especially those buried in unmarked graves, please email me or leave a message.

M. J. (Holliday) Robb
Hi Patricia,

Regarding M.J. (Holliday) Robb. Memorial No. 28013664 & M. L. Robb Memorial No. 28013584 .

Her full name is Mary Jane (Holiday) Robb
His full name is Milton Lafayette Robb.

The parent links on Mary Jane's memorial are incorrect. Her father is Elliot Holliday Jr. and her mother is Mary Ann "Polly" (Burke) Holliday.

She is a relative of mine and I'd be happy to manage it if you'd be so kind to transfer her and her husbands memorials , if you prefer not to, please make the suggested family link corrections.

Best Wishes,

George and Amelia Abbott
George Abbott M# 27967983 and Amelia Coates Abbott M# 27968003 are my Great-Grandparents. Thank you so much for preparing their memorial pages. I am still searching for my great-great-Grandparents, Benjamin and Elizabeth Wood Abbott. Do you have any more information on the unmarked graves at Dry Valley Cemetery? Thank you for the work you do for others.

RE: Chandler/Honsinger
The administrator has already taken care of your parents. They went ahead and merged Jody's with yours.
