I like Genealogy as something to do in my spare time. I play and write music for guitar and sing, I can be found on www.youtube.com/user/acousticphases|
My Paternal line RODE goes back to 1740 and found in Elvershausen, Hanover, Germany, my Maternal line Olson goes back to 1800's in Swedan. My Mothers maternal line BENTLEY goes back to 1500's in england with a William Bentley on 1573-81 married to a Mary and now there is a possability that his father is a Robert Bentley born about 20 years younger than his son william.

I am not upset, there is a guy who is having all the photo where I used chalk, removed, as I have refused to place his erroneous information on listings, so he is punishing me with the help of find a grave. He is Clinton McClellan Smith, maybe he would be willing to do the driving to replace the photo's. He may be reached at: firstname.lastname@example.org
I have removed the photo's as you the listing owner requested.

Hello again Scott,
I radomly select a newspaper or funeral home, etc. from an internet search (I use Google) and then I check Find A Grave to see if the obituaries listed have a memorial at Find A Grave. If not I add one. This was the case with your cousin Buddy Kiehn. His obituary came from the website for Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale (MN). Hope this helps explain how I found the obituary.

I, like the majority here at Find A Grave, add memorials for many many individuals. And, again like the majority here, I am not related in any way to most of those for whom I add memorials.
I add cemetery pictures and tombstone data quite often but I also like to add memorials for those who do not have one here whenever I run across their obituary somewhere. The reason I do this is so relatives and ancestors may hopefully link up with their family members someday....as you did with your cousin. That success story makes it very gratifying for me. I am very pleased you have found one of your relatives here and if you would like for me to transfer the memorial to you just ask.

It was no problem. I'm glad I could help.
I'm sorry I had to read back our messages to understand. You had originally requested a headstone photo for Henry and Mary Reasby in Oakhill Cemetery Central City. I went there and did not find them so asked you is they might have been buried in Oakhill Cemetery Cedar Rapids because they are both in Linn County. I said I would go check out the information there. I did and I took those photos and sent them to you. I don't remember seeing any other Reasby's in the plot book.

I have a cemetery listing that I first got the names from. All the names were listed in this that I posted.
This is a very old cemetery with a lot of stones that you can not read any longer.
I thought listing the names would at least let people know that the person was there, but the grave can no longer be found.
Oakhill cemetery in Cedar Rapids is a very large cemetery. Maybe I can contact someone who has the plot information this week and see if they are buried there. If so I will go and take pictures. There are several other requests for that cemetery so I could look those up also. I will see what I can do.
