Researching and documenting my family history is one of the most important works of my life. While looking for my family - I photo cemeteries to be able to help others. I feel everyone should know as much about their ancestors as possible. Through my research I have been able to spend quality time with my sister, Janet Bertram and my mother, Norma Davidson Bertram. We travel the great state of Texas visiting ancestors graves and photo documenting as much as possible. My husband Jim and Mother help with cleaning stones, uncovering buried stones, and general all around helpers. Findagrave is a wonderful place that has brought lots of people into my life I would never have known otherwise. I like filling photo requests when possible. We need to all keep up the good work. Thanks to all who are working so hard.
After experiencing a vulgar language email from an East Texas Grandma after denying a transfer request - I find it necessay to add the following statement. Find a Grave has guidelines for this site. I will follow those guidelines from this point on. "Transfer requests must follow Find A Grave guidelines. Be specific on your relationship. Must be the four generations as listed in the rules. I will make corrections, additions, & family links when asked. Use the Edit tab, then the Suggest A Correction option & include your email address."
My photos may be used for family trees, but please ask first. I have found many of my photos on a Find A Grave members Ancestry.com file with no credit or permission being given. Please read the rules for photo use in the Find A Grave help. Many hours are spent taking photos and the photographer should be given credit. | |

 | W. W. Stowe I searched for this grave this morning and could not locate a marker. There are unmarked spaces on either side of Julia Stowe, so I believe his grave to be unmarked. His grave was noted as being unmarked in an index done in the mid-70's. | | | Jinnie Kerdi
 | Thank you for all you do! Hello Sandra, Please keep up the good work. Thank you for your post regarding others who use photos with no credit, no proper info. I am very new to this but often find photos of my family snatched and posted improperly. Just wanted to say - Thanks. Jinnie Kerdi | | | Penny
 | RE: Greening Lol, I live in Shreveport and that is not close either but prolly closer than you. I love this too and walked this whole cemetery. My feet were killing me but I still looked. There are a lot I am sure are not photographed and need to be and prolly a lot that need to have a memorial. At the very back of this cemetery it looks like they have been trying to uncover even more graves and I will not go into those woods if they aren't cleaned out because of chiggers and mosquitos. I need to find out more about this cemetery as the back section seems to be separate from the front. Some back there are pretty fresh too so it must still be active. I think I will check into the history of it first then check into who has the records of all the burials.Added by Penny on May 07, 2013 6:59 PM | | | Penny
 | RE: Greening When I took the photo of the only Greening I could find, it belonged to Sarah Lou Greening, wife of Wm. R. Greening. At the time I put it in there I didn't realize it was the wrong Greening and that there was more than 1. I am sorry! I looked in that cemetery till my feet hurt and could not find Your Greening. This cemetery is 30 miles away and obviously nobody down there is taking photos. I had several so I thought since I was going down there I might as well try to get all the request for that cemetery. I could not find half of the 26 requests. I may go again but I need to find out who has the records and if they could tell me where everyone is so that I don't have to walk the whole thing since it is very large. They are still uncovering more gravesites in the wooded areas. The terrain is very Hilly in the back section and rough on my old knees & feet but when I do, I plan to already know where they are located so I am not in so much pain trying to get them. Again, I apologize.Added by Penny on May 06, 2013 11:20 AM | | | Sally

 | Oma Stuart photo request Hi, the volunteers would be happy to fill your photo request however we will need a burial location to do so. Can you please contact Laurel Land and get a burial location for your request? The number is 214 371 1336
or the email link is: http://www.laurellanddallas.com/home/contact_us.html
There are over 520 photo requests currently and the volunteers cannot ask for that many locations to fill requests. With a location, your request will get filled pretty quickly. Thanks for your help!Added by TLH on Apr 16, 2013 11:55 AM | | | Janet Cherry
 | Strange memorials Thank you for the time you took to create the listing for my grandmother, Gladys Strange. I have only been doing genealogy for about 2 years, but it didn't take long to come to love findagrave. I didn't notice if you are maintaining my cousin, Stephanie Strange, but if you are thanks for that, too. Baby Stephanie died the day she was born. Her birth/death was the first loss I ever remember experiencing as a child. I would like to request maintaining my grandmother - and Stephanie as well - if you wouldn't mind. I'm hoping to leave my family a complete as possible genealogy record for the next generations.
Again, thanks for your work and for considering my request. My contributor number is 47683865.

 | RE: Pinchback Montgomery Thank you. I know lots of times it is hard to figure out who goes with who. Appreciate you taking the time to correct it. Rita
