Gary L. Moncur|
303rd Bomb Group (H) Historian
Approximately 8,900 men served in the 303rd Bomb Group, stationed at Molesworth, England during WWII. Nearly 900 of them were Killed in Action. About 90 percent of those who survived have now passed away.
303rdBG.com is a totally non-profit endeavor to preserve the history and legacy of the 303rd Bomb Group. Every minute of time and every cent spent for over 13 years has been donated. Nothing is sold and no advertising is accepted.
Project: FOLDED FLAG is an addition to our website to honor all of our veterans who have "Gone West" with personal photos, and grave and memorial photos.
We sincerely thank you for the help and hope to use your Find A Grave photos of our 303rd BG veteran's graves on our website, added to the TAPS pages, as part of Project: FOLDED FLAG. We will ask your permission to do so.
Due to the design of the webpage, and our desire to keep the emphasis on the veteran and not on the photographer, it is impossible to credit every photographer on our website. See the memorial pages at: www.303rdBG.com/taps1.html
If you would rather we not use your photo on our website, please don't claim our photo requests. If we have used one and you want it removed, please contact us and we will quickly comply. You still own the copyright.
We are deeply grateful to all those who help us honor these members of the Greatest Generation.
We'll be happy to transfer ownership of any memorial we have created. Photos taken by us for Find A Grave may be considered public domain and you are most welcome to use them.

Gary, The only photo I posted was of the headstone. Look at the crew photo and the poster will be listed below that.

My message earlier this evening was in reference to your request for Joseph Godzinski. If you'd be willing to obtain plot info for that request I'll certainly try to take that photo as well.

I have the 73-NW map and it's on there so we're good. I'm very curious to see what I find as it's a corner plot labeled at 338 square feet, some 26 feet long and 12.5 at the narrowest. There might be 10 at most on the map that big (there are also 73NE and 73S maps).
I should be able to the photo within 2 weeks, weather permitting.

You've put in request(s) at Calvary in Cleveland. Several of us are actively working to clear the more than 755 requests. With 400,000 burials and 300 acres, if you could please obtain plot information AND a plot map one of us will be more likely to be able to fill the request, as the office will only give out a little information to each person. The office phone number is (216) 641-7575. On my page I have the plot maps listed that we already have which is quite a few. If the burial is in one of those sections we don't need another map, just the plot info on the request.
You can try to tell them you'll be visiting when they're closed, etc. So far everyone who's called has been successful in having a map mailed, a few e-mailed. If you get one let me know and I'll give you my e-mail address. With thousands of graves per section a plot map would be VERY helpful. Without plot information it's basically impossible.
