ברוך הבא בשם יהוה
"Baruch Haba B'Shem Adonai!"
שְׁמַע יִשְׂרָאֵל יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ יְהוָה אֶחָד
"Shema Yisrael, Adonai eloheinu, Adonai echad. Ba-ruch sheim k'vod mal-chu-to l'o-lam va-ed."
Isa 62:1 "For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth."
++++++++++++++++++++++++ "I am part of the fellowship of the unashamed. The die has been cast. The decision has been made. I have stepped over the line. I won't look back, let up, slow down, or back away. My past is redeemed, my present makes sense, my future is secure. I'm finished with low living, sight walking, small planning, smooth knees, tamed visions, mundane talking, cheap giving and dwarfed goals. I no longer need preminence, prosperity, position, promotions, plaudits, or popularity. I don't have to be right, first, tops, recognized, praised, regarded, or rewarded. I now live by faith, lean on His presence, walk with patience, live by prayer and labor with power. My face is set, my gait is fast, my goal is Heaven, my road is narrow, my way is rough, my companions are few, my guide is reliable, my mission is clear. I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, deluded, or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of the adversary, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity, or meander in the maze of mediocrity. I won't give up, shut up, let up, until I have stayed up, stored up, prayed up, paid up, spoken up for the case of Christ. I am a disciple of Jesus Christ. I must go ‘till He comes, give ‘till I drop, preach ‘till all know, and work ‘till He stops me. My banner is clear. I am a part of the fellowship of the unashamed."
- A final testimony by an African Christian just before he was martyred for his faith. ++++++++++++++++++++++++
+++++I find most of my contacts here on Find a Grave to be positive, and I do my very best to be helpful, friendly and cooperative. I do not, however, respond well to rudeness, lying or demands. If you cannot include a "Please" and a "Thank you" with your request, you will NOT receive a very high priority on my "To do" list. Please treat me as you would like to be treated.+++++ | |

 | RE: Maplewood Memorial Lawn Cemetery I will. The pages just list the name, b/d dates, and plot--and sometimes those are partial or blank. Thanks for all your help. Becky | | | Becky Doan
 | RE: Maplewood Memorial Lawn Cemetery Michael,
They WON'T give one out. They won't even give one out to the Historical Society. The manager of the cemetery told me it was against their policy due to privacy. However, it you email them, they will send you plot numbers, etc. Makes no sense to me! Last Memorial Day, I photographed all the pages in their book; they had it out on display. My goal had been to enter everyone in the book by THIS Memorial Day, but that hasn't happened. I just started the N's last night. Also, there were many pages missing. When I got there the 2nd day, the book had obviously blown apart. Pages were out of order, upside down, etc, so I sat in my car and organized it. There are only a couple pages of W's, for example, and none after that. I can tell by the alphabet that a bunch are missing. I am going to go to Emporia today to see my Dad and will stop by there for awhile. I doubt if they have the book out yet; however they will next weekend. Perhaps you might want to do that, too?! I kept finding people I knew, so spent time "fleshing out" the family information/connections which took up too much time--or I would have finished my project. I thought when I get done, I will go back and try to figure out who is whom. I have had a ball seeing so many people my family's 5 generations have known. Becky | | | Memory Lane

 | Dorothy Jean Hall Find A Grave Memorial# 42879964 Hi Michael :) Dorothy Jean Hall was my mother. She killed herself 9 months after my birth when I was taken for adoption. I was wondering whether there was a particular reason you were looking after her grave memorial and also whether you had any contact from others about her grave. I am immeasurably grateful to have found her here and thank you sincerely for your support of her memorial.
sincerely,

 | RE: I missed you. :( Yay! Well you do good work and you're making me into a wiser and more savvy person. It's a good thing. Plus I got a vacation from my cemetery escapades. I needed that. It's also too cold to be running around in boneyards, when there's hot cocoa and cats inside. Glad you're back. I hope you had fun and learned many wise things.Added by Rachel on Feb 08, 2013 12:48 PM | | | sr/ks
 | howdy, an inquiry You and I had swapped notes a while back re: Dolly Haltzman whom you have on the site, and I happened to remember that at that time you had an interest in Jewish memorials. Well, tonight I ran across a contributor who has a bunch of memorials in languages she cannot understand and about half of them have Hebrew on the stones. Any chance you might help or know someone? Her list is here and you will see about halfway down are a few from a clearly Jewish cem, and the last one has Hebrew on it too. Thanks for taking a look or thinking if someone else might!Added by sr/ks on Feb 08, 2013 12:34 AM | | | | [View all messages...] |
