Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am an avid amateur genealogist, researching many different lines for both family and friends. I include all collateral lines, so my area of interest is extensive.

I have added many memorials in the hope of helping a fellow researcher. Permission is granted for personal use of any of the photos I have added, please just cite the F.A.G. memorial number and cite me as the photographer. This includes - it's so disappointing to look at a public family tree and find one of my photographs without mention of the photographer.

I decline to give permission to use my photos for resale, for profit, or to upload to a different web site. Do not copy them to other grave related sites such as

PLEASE remember the volunteer nature of FAG and be polite when writing. People have been less than understanding recently, wondering why the information they sent hadn't yet been added.

Dates of birth & death as well as linking to parents can been added through the automated system. If I've missed your email about additions to a memorial, just ask a second time. We're all human, no need for attitude.

Since you are creating a record of the cemetery in addition to photographing a single stone you should take several images of the same marker. For example:

1. One showing the whole cemetery.

2. Shoot an image that includes the closest stones and provides context.

3. Photograph the whole gravestone so that inscription and carving are visible.

4. Make sure to take at least one picture where the inscription fills the camera frame.

Unless you are extremely lucky, most of the stones you want to photograph will not be straight due to ground settling. In the case of leaning stones, tilting the camera should eliminate the slant."

Our greatest treasure is our family, not only the warm circle around the Christmas tree, but all those whose lives gave us life, and those who will carry our love into the future. ~ Anonymous

It avails not, neither time or place—distance avails not;
I am with you, you men and women of a generation, or ever so
many generations hence;
I project myself—also I return—I am with you, and know how it is.

Just as you feel when you look on the river and sky, so I felt;
Just as any of you is one of a living crowd, I was one of a crowd;
Just as you are refresh'd by the gladness of the river and the bright flow,
I was refresh'd... ~ "Crossing Brooklyn Ferry" by Walt Whitman

Perform, then, this one act of remembrance before this Day passes - Remember there is an army of defense and advance that never dies and never surrenders, but is increasingly recruited from the eternal sources of the American spirit and from the generations of American youth. -W.J. Cameron

For death is no more than a turning of us over from time to eternity. ~William Penn

Those we hold closest to our hearts never truly leave us. They live on in the kindness they have shared and the love they brought into our lives. -Author Unknown

Perhaps they are not stars in the sky, but rather openings where our loved ones shine down to let us know they are happy. -Anonymous

I've found the same issues myself, and I agree. I totally go with the forms the person filled out themselves. Happy Researching!

143696861 Clifford Draves
Hi, last week when I took photos of Dorothy and Leonard Draves headstones, I got side tracked with other names next to the Draves I knew and missed getting clifford's. I added the photo tonight so the claim of the request did not expire. I will go next weekend and get the photo of his headstone.

RE: Matilda Isabell Parks - Green Hills Memorial Park
Hi and thanks
Matilda I. Parks was my Aunt. My mom's only sister.. As a kid I was always around my grandmother Isabell and my Aunt, who most time lived with my grandmother..
It is very thoughtful of you leaving flowers.. I am not much on line due to my illness. I am healing from a bad accident. So I am grateful you sending flowers. My Aunt was a wonderful person.. I wished you could had met her.

Hello ;-)

So happy to help ... that's exactly why I do this ... Like you saw he was a 82nd Airborne, 376 Parachute Field Artillery . He was KIA during the battle of the bulge .
Will help you to find more ;-) See this link,24995,24996,24998,24997,24993,24981,24983&q=19000144&bc=,sl,fd&rpp=10&pg=1&rid=1671958

you can also contact directly the cemetery at Henri Chapelle; Mrs Duflo Emilie from ABMC : maybe she has more info . You must know also that here in Belgium we can adopt a grave ... a way to keep the soldier memory alive ... ask also to Mrs Duflo about the grave adoption and if the grave is already adopted ( pretty certain he is ). You can also contact my friend Mrs Ellen Peters who lives in Dallas TX : she is the 505RCT secretary , the 376PFAB was a part of the 505 . She is in touch with historians and vétérans .

I'm going to San Diego End of June ; -) if my wife and I will have time ( just 4 days in Oceanside CA) we will visit LA ...

Patrick Fogarty photo request
Hi Nancy,
I am posting the photo for the Patrick Fogarty memorial this afternoon. The inscription on the headstone reads only "FATHER". I have double checked to make sure this is correct and this is the correct headstone for Patrick Fogarty. I have also posted pictures for Lottie, Honora, Tom & Dennis Fogarty. I spent a little extra time with this one making sure that I had the correct plots. Modesto Citizens Cemetery is sometimes confusing for me the way it is laid out.
