I've been working on genealogy since the mid 1980's. If there are any photo's you need from the NW Indiana area I'll see what I can do...doesn't have to be cemetery. |
I don't mind if you use the photo's I post as long as you are doing it respectfully and give credit where credit is due. I believe that genealogy and research should be shared. I am not in it for the numbers of being the one who's taken the most photo's or written the most memorials. And I will transfer any memorial that I have added to a registered family member of the person...grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. Please request and let me know your relationship.
When I create memorials that aren't my direct ancestors, I feel it is a privilege to pass them on. I like to help people "see" their loved ones.
I'm not in this to write all sorts of rules for others to try to follow. I don't believe this site is about that. I believe this site is about helping others to find their long lost loved ones. And if I can help others do that without trying to make myself look "important" then that is what I will do.
If you would like to visit my Dad's memorial and leave flowers:
Joseph Thomas Baker
And my brother:
Daniel Joseph Baker

Charles L. Davis had one child my grandfather Wilton C. Davis. My mother Francis Davis was the oldest of five children. Elene, Blanch, Anna, and Johnie, are the others. I know there were other Davis families in Edgar County.
John the only son did not live in Edgar County, he lived in the Chicago area and had one son John.

Yes I am sure of the headstone and grave-site as C. L. Davis is my great grandfather. He is buried in Edgar Cemetery, Edgar County, IL. at Paris, IL. where I was born and lived the first forty years of my life.
There are a number of persons with the handle C.L. Davis, which makes it hard to discern one from the other. My great grandfather was from Indiana yet we have never been able to trace his family on his father's side.

I just read your bio, offering to take photos. Are you, or do you know anyone, close to the University of Illinois campus, in Urbana, IL? My GGG Grandma is buried there, with her 2nd husband, and possibly their young daughter. Thank you, Cheryl
