Bloomer Connection
Mary McDonald was the daughter of Dominick McDonald and Bridget Kearney. Dominick died 21 June 1896 and was born in Ireland in 1857. Mary's sister Ann married Joseph Edward Cole. Joseph was the son of Edward Cole and Sarah Bloomer. Sarah was the daughter of Gidney Bloomer and Caroline Gorden.

William and Sarah Key
Hi Karen. I am also a direct descendant of William and Sarah Key. I would be their 2nd great-grandson. Originally I was going to ask for their transfer but I see you are also a descendant so it is good to know they are in a relative's care. I am curious what you know about the Keys. I know only some but not enough. William and Sarah had a son named Frank who was the father of Charlotte who is my great-grandmother. My grandmother remembers going to Vineland to visit the Keys. My grandmother grew up in Texas so they were not that close with the Keys. So far I have found record of 9 children born to William and Sarah. I have always been told that the Keys were somehow related to Francis Scott Key. Do you know of this connection? I'm curious to hear from you and hopefully learn more about the Keys! Thanks!

LOL. No. I've known Doug & June for years, saw the photos and decided to find the grave and put it on there for them for the respect and their family. I IM'd June and told her to tell Theresa to request transfer and I would help her anyway I can being we are here in Hampton. I like families to have their families to care for. I wanted to make sure that their photo was placed properly and in they're credit before someone snagged it.
I have never been about the numbers crunch. I only look for my family and friends. If I come across a poor old soul that may be forgot-ton I create their memorial so someone will find them, they were once here and walked this earth and were remembered.
Nice meeting you. Tell them I'll be glad to help get them started.
Those men were CSA and when I find one I MAKE IT A POINT to flag them with honor. They also were someones loved one and fought for the country.

RE: Mary Caroline Emmons
Hi Karen ~ Thanks for that correction. I removed the link to Joseph Emmons on Mary Caroline's memorial.

RE: Tarkington
Thanks, Karen. I see someone else has indeed added the photo's. I don't know if John is related, but probably so. Again, thank you. Have a wonderful day.

RE: Yorktown National Cemetery
Hi Karen!

I'm actually not sure if he is buried there or not. The information for Ames was provided by someone else (the contributer's info is in the description area there and I'm not sure where that info came from) I just provided the photo that went with the tomb number. I wish we could definitely say that there was a way to know who the unknowns were, but I honestly don't know if there is a way to do that.

Thanks!
~Diana~
