Mr Hutchison -
New System for Memorial Edits deployed by FindAGrave on 12/5/2013
Go to your Contributor/Profile page.
Look in the upper right corner. You should now see a tab called "Edits" - check there to see if any have been submitted to you. Then just review and accept. EZ-PZ :-)
This new process makes it much easier for doing updates to names / dates / places / plot #s.
Please note - you still will get e-mails to add info to bio section or do linking to family members.

Find A Grave Memorial# 15662910
Thought it automatically gave that information?
|Glenn Huffman||Amos Thompson|
Amos Thompson was my great-grandfather. He had no middle name.
His stone reads: Amos Thompson / Born Nov. 4, 1833 / Died Sept. 6, 1917 / Aged 83 Yrs. / 10 Mos. & 2 da.
But that's not completely right. He was born in 1839 according to his own Bible, his death certificate, and his twin sister's birthdate. No one knows why the stone says 1833.
He and wife (Mary Hedrick) and six of their seven children are buried south of their homeplace on Middle Timber Ridge.
|Brady Fitts||John A Allen|
Find A Grave Memorial# 9725293 "Village Church Cemetery." Could you add the following about John Allen?
He enlisted in the CSA on April 30, 1862 into the 19th Virginia Infantry and was tranferred to Company F, 18th Virginia Infantry. He was wounded and captured on May 8, 1862, at Williamburg and died May 18, 1862, in Washington D. C., of measles.
Thanks for your help and time.

|TMcP||James DeWitt Hankins' date of death|
Mr. Hutchinson -
James DeWitt Hankins died on October 19, 1866.
He was shot on the steps of the Isle of Wight courthouse on October 18, 1866, and died the next day.
Unfortunately, the monument over his grave erroneously lists his year of death as 1867, and you list it as 1865.
Could you please change your dod year from 1865 to 1866?
