I am a native of Southern California, and have lived in Idaho, Alabama, New York, and for the past 12 years in Asheville, N.C. Happily married and the proud mother of two sons. I work in the medical profession, but outside of work my main hobby is genealogical reasearch, which I have been engaged in since 1996.

Mary's older sister Augusta also died at 104.
I linked her to Minnie and Benjamin also.

I have no idea where the other sister, Jean, is since I never knew her married name.
Vice Admiral Wallace B. Short died at 103. I am going to do a memorial for him.
Mary joked about their longevity being due to the fact that they were "Short" "White" people.
They all had a great sense of humor. :o)

Minnie Short's daughter, Mary was my "other mother" for many years. I have just added a memorial for her and linked her to Minnie and Benjamin. If you would like to read it,
