I have been doing genealogy since about 1975, and enjoy visiting cemeteries wherever I may be visiting.|
I always try and take photos of headstones that may or may not pertain to my families. I am originally from Edon, Williams Co., Ohio and have lived in Southern Utah since 1974. I will gladly transfer any memorials as long as they are not part of my family. Some of the family names I am searching are: Chrisman, Knecht, Gillis, Glover, Kinnison, Beanblossom, Duke, Liggett, McCamis, Finley, Jeurink and Hatch.

Thanks for offering to transfer, but I am not related. They are family members for people I have created memorials for in Steuben County, so I thought it would be nice to update and connect them.
I appreciate your help in adding the info.

Hi Connie.. Thanks for getting back with me.. and yes, you've answered my question.. that names were added from a source list and not just from who had visible markers at the cemetery.. I like using the lists to ensure no one is left out since many of the older stones don't even exist anymore..
I would love to get together when you come back this way.. there are so many stones yet to be photographed and those larger cemeteries like Riverside & Floral Grove would be so much easier and quicker to knock out with a friend.. I can even pack a picnic ;-)

Hi Connie.. just a quick question for you..
Periodically I receive cemetery listings that I then take and cross reference with memorials already created and add new ones accordlingly..
Anyways, I was getting started on cross checking Liggett Cemetery with my list and so far, 2 pages in, it appears that everyone has been accounted for.. I just wondered if I needed to continue working on this cemetery or if you had already seen to it that everyone is listed?? cuz the last thing I want to do is spend hours doing this cross check if someone as thorough as you has already done it.. if ya know what I mean.. so I just wanted to double check with ya before I went any further to see if Liggett is complete and I didn't need to concern myself with it?

I have added her maiden name and linked her to her parents. Thank for the information. Dolores

Safe to assume your husband is related to Aunt Irene's sister Betty or her Husband?
By the way, the "D" is for Dewitt in case you want to add that.
I've been doing family research for quite some time using other sources like Family Search.org + my oldest boy gave me a 6 mo subscription to ancestery.com last Christmas. I spent last winter creating a fairy complex family tree on their site.
I finally got around to entering what I know in Find A Grave.
This whole thing is rather addictive and way tooooo time consuming, but it's fun.

I'm sure I have met her once or twice, probably 10 or more years ago (when I was 18) when she came to visit Eunice, but I don't remember, its been so long since I worked there. Eunice and Elbert were very fortunate to have such a loving family! :)
