Hello Bill, Thank you for all the photos on Find A Grave of William, but there are duplicates on there and if you plan to add any, you will have to delete some of the duplicates. Just trying to help!

James Monroe Cox
Thanks, Bill. I also see MS as a possible birth place but this is less likely. Do you have any info on his parents? I have Nancy Cox as his mother (born 1789 in VA - died between 1870 and 1880, probably in MS where she was living with her daughter Caroline (Wm) Taylor). I believe his father died before 1850; I do not have a name. I am descended from James and his first wife Nancy Mitchell.

Hello Bill,

I'm wondering where you found the date of birth for J.M. Cox (#10997420). Do you know where he was born? He is my 4x great-grandfather.

more High Hill
Thanks for getting back to me. I have heard from someone who knows folks in the area, so hopefully we'll get this all sorted out.

are there any markers at High Hill Cemetery?
There has been an on-going issue, with Saratoga Cemetery having been entered as High Hill originally, I think. You have added pictures for Frances Bland in High Hill, but I suspect she's really in Saratoga Cemetery.

Can you sometime go out to where the USGS map indicates that High Hill Cemetery is and see if there are any markers still there? If you "zoom out" a little on the map on the Saratoga Cemetery (Hempstead County) page, you'll see the little green triangle to the northeast of the town of Saratoga, marked High Hill Cemetery.

Mellie Franklin Adams
Bill, I suppose you could call me confused! The above mentioned interment is Male/Female? The 1900 census clearly states Melly - Female Oct. 1890. The 1910 states Mellie - Male. This memorial states Nov 1891 and then there is a WW1 Draft registration for Mellie F. Adams, but he was married and had a child. His bd is 5 Nov 1891. He filled out the registration 5 Jun 1917. Do you know this family, or are you kin to someone in it? Just not sure what to think or how to gather this family in my tree. Thank you for your input.
