Bio and Links
I have been collecting family names, dates, photos, death certificates etc since "ROOTS" in 1977. I am only interested in submitting and/or managing memorials for our families. My family interests are the surnames of Madden-Stahler-Davis-Rodabaugh-Bosserman-Barthauer-Morris. My wife's family interests are Wright(Wrights-Reitz)-Blair-Weaver-Norton-Leighty-Clark-Steinbarger (Steinberger-Steenbarger). I am always anxious to share dates, photos, death certificates etc.

You are very welcome! A big thanks has to go to the owner of the cemetery, I had a hard time finding them and he showed me the way.

Henry Albert Doseck
I would like to know where Henry Albert Doseck is buried. I copied the tombstones of Henry and his fifth wife, Maver Apple, in Evergreen Cemetery, Saint Paris, Ohio and published said data in 1982. Online on Find-A-Grave you will find the data in Evergreen Cemetery. However, also on Find-A-Grave you will find reportedly their graves in Riverside Cemetery, Troy, Ohio. My friend, Karen Johnson-Heber, records cemeteries by taking pictures of the tombstones, gaining access to the burial records, obituaries and whatever records she needs to clarify the burials, She has the pictures that she took of Henry and Maver's gravestones in Saint Paris, but she did not find the burial records that she has from the sexton. I word all surnames in the Champaign County, Ohio area and work up the lineages. Since this problem has come up I would like to clear up the matter of their burials. Please contact me at my regular email address. Thank you. Denise K. Moore at

Ralph Winner Blair
Hello Cousin,
I found the info you'd made for my father on the graves program and I was stunned: Your picture of my father, Ralph Blair, is sitting on a self in my bedroom! Where did you get your copy?
Through the names you offered as being on your tree branch, I'm assuming you are a Madden and obviously, I am a Blair, and we're connected from some years ago in Champaign County, Ohio. I'd be more than happy to provide the info I have on a Family Tree Maker program. I'd love to see your info as well.
I had my DNA tested through and it provided very little connection with my Blair branch but many hits on everything else. We did one of the ways to test my husband's DNA and it produced so many hits that we found a cousin's granddaughter no one else knew she had because her son hadn't married the girl's mother. She still feels that way, too; if the girl is illegitimate, she's not really her grandchild. Is it just me or does that seem dated?!
Another of my husband's connections was to an elderly cousin, to a daughter he truly never knew he had. (The birth mother had never told him.) The birth daughter got to meet her birth father and some of her half-siblings and it began some healing all the way around because the daughter had had a rough life and now this connection is loving. Life can be such a mystery!
I just looked at my Family Tree Maker file and found who I think are both you and your wife (I don't keep my entire tree on My notes say I got that info from Thelma (Blair) Lange in the 1980's. My info says I'm more closely related to your wife than to you. Are you two part of double connections between Maddens and Blairs?
I live in Southwestern Ohio and would be more than pleased to meet you and your wife if you are fairly nearby. (I can't travel any more, darnit.) Any other direct or indirect connection would be fine as well.
Thanks for entering my father's info on the graves program.
Best Wishes,
Jonelle Blair Shadowens

RE: Dennis Madden Photo
Sorry Dennis, I am unable to find groups or persons devoted to the 57th. A man named M. Levinson at Bowling Green is listed on Ohio in the Civil War as a historical contact for companies C & I.

RE: The Casey's of Lima OH
Maybe Fred. If the office had been open, I was going to go over and ask. The cemetery's website seems to confirm that there are Casey's buried in that Section.
