|I have been collecting family names, dates, photos, death certificates etc since "ROOTS" in 1977. I am only interested in submitting and/or managing memorials for our families. My family interests are the surnames of Madden-Stahler-Davis-Rodabaugh-Bosserman-Barthauer-Morris. My wife's family interests are Wright(Wrights-Reitz)-Blair-Weaver-Norton-Leighty-Clark-Steinbarger (Steinberger-Steenbarger). I am always anxious to share dates, photos, death certificates etc.|

Sorry Dennis, I am unable to find groups or persons devoted to the 57th. A man named M. Levinson at Bowling Green is listed on Ohio in the Civil War as a historical contact for companies C & I. firstname.lastname@example.org

Sir, may I use the photo of Dennis for my web-site, a site you may like to visit. http://ourgrampascivilwar.wordpress.com. Among other things read the history of the 183rd. Dennis and my Jacob Ash shared the journey!! Bob Werner, Medina, Ohio

Maybe Fred. If the office had been open, I was going to go over and ask. The cemetery's website seems to confirm that there are Casey's buried in that Section. http://www.gethsemanilima.com/

Will get some assistance from the young man who tends these graves. They weren't listed in the cemetery book. I wish the cemetery had a record of the plots like Bellefontaine does. I forgot today ( it's been awhile) to change each section letter up one, they marked them incorrectly when putting the record together. Barring rain and Dr visits I will get back there in the next few days.

In he library listing of the cemetery, I only found Otto Lee Baughman who was an infant. I will look again.

Do you know if this gentleman ever had an incorrect military headstone that gave his name as Whitemore and was replaced with a correct one that says Whiteman?
There is a gentleman in Bellefontaine, Ohio, that is in possession of a tombstone that says Wm Whitemore, Co G, 62 Ohio Inf that someone was using as a doorstop. He is trying to figure out if this was stolen and would like it returned to its appropriate spot, but I am thinking the last name was wrong and when a correct one was received that the old was discarded.
Can you shed any light on this?
